Skeeter,
Sorry to hear about your horse - that's tough.
Congratulations to everyone else on your hatches! My seven little fluffs are doing great. Moved them to the garage tonight into a bigger brooder.
Best of luck to anyone else that is still waiting on peepers.
Our seven are settled in ad establishing their pecking order already. I candled the last two eggs and decided they were dead.
I opened them and one of them looked like it quit around day 16-17 - it was still pretty small. The other one was full grown and completely filling the egg, which is...
Congratulations, everyone! All your babies are so beautiful.
For those of you that are waiting, just be patient. They know when they need to come out. I had some pip and then wait 12 hours to try anymore. Others seemed to zip right out.
We got our last baby overnight, from one of the...
Okay, here's some chick pics.
First, a shot of the gang of six:
Next, a gratuitout cuteness picture:
These next two are for Kathy (aka halo). I want her to check out the heads on my two silver babies. This light silver one I'm pretty sure doesn't have any light spots on it's head...
Congratulations, everyone!!!
I came home and DH had pulled the 6th baby from the incubator. He's a light black/dark silver, and definitely a roo. So, that's four confirmed roos out of six hatchlings!!!
I'm 99.9% positive my light silver one is a girl, and I am mixed on the dark silver. I...

Hang in there, Jamie. At least you know that there would be a reason for the eggs to take longer - that always helps to settle the anxiety. I'm sorta thinking that the shells that are on my little eggs are harder than the larger ones, they just seem denser.
I hear you about running...

How can you see the quills yet??? I watched the video someone posted showing the wing sexing (on Dirty Jobs) and I've tried to look at my little chicks, but their wings are so tiny all I see is fuzz!
Cass,
What kind of incubator are you using? I can't believe the photos you are able to get of the inside of the bator! That's the only thing I wish was different about mine. All I have is a little 2 inch hole to peek through.
I can't believe the feet on your tiny chick! He/she might be...
Congratulations on all the pips, zips and chicks everyone!!! So much happened overnight!
My 6th chick was still just a pip when I went to bed at midnight. I got up with the dogs at 3am and it was still a pip. I was beginnig to worry but I heard a peep, so that reassured me. When I got up at...
So much has happened since I was on here last.
Congrats to all of you that have peeps and pips and chicks!
Cass, I didn't realize you had so many already! Very cute. So, RIW is Rhode Island White? Very cute!
Everybody else, hang in there. Here's a few extra hatching vibes for you...
Hi again!
DD came home to find a fifth chick zipping it's shell. She watched it thru the little window and got to see it push it's shell open and then I saw it pop out. So cool!
This one appears to be dark too. So far only one silver baby.
A 6th egg has a pretty good pip in it. Can't...
Thanks, Jamie. Yeah, I saw that post. That's why the heat lamp is attached to a solid piece of furniture. I'm watching the temp too, those heat lamps really get hot. I'm going to move them to a rubbermaid tote once they have a few more hours on them.
I'll get photos in a little bit. Right...
Cass, he/she is soooo cute!!!!! Congratulations, chickie mama!
I got home around 12:30 (after FINALLY finding some chick starter in this town) and the 3 from this morning were dry and fluffly and another had hatched!!!! This one is silver/blue and smaller! She was dry, just not fluffly...
Congrats to everyone that's got pipping, zipping, peeping and hatching going on!
Those of you that are still waiting, hang in there - it will happen!
I will post pics of the little cheepers when I take them out this afternoon.
