I noticed something was wrong with my Partridge Rock pullet's neck about a month ago. Her feathers were all puffed up on her neck and she seemed to have an odd sort of injury, a big, thick scab. Here's some pictures.

I cleaned it off and pulled out any bloody, dry feathers. I looked at it again, and it looks much better. The scab is nearly gone and all the feathers are coming back, but there seems to be a really large lump or growth of some sort on her neck. I'm thinking about having it checked out by a poultry vet. Here's a picture:

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

@kinsiebrooke I do have a couple of young roosters the same age. I haven't noticed any of them trying to mate yet, but considered that maybe one of them injured her, but I'm not sure about that big growth of a scab.

Hi, just wondering what happened with your chicken/how you treated. Something very similar happening with one of mine. Thanks.
