Question about Niacin and/or Brewers Yeast for Ducks

Pics
Hi! I'm just going to jump on this thread since I don't need to post ANOTHER thread about niacin deficiency... so here is my video! Three week old ducklings - about three days ago I noticed my smaller Welsh Harlequin wasn't as active as before. Well.. all three are a little lazier but I figured it is because they're growing and their feathers are coming in. That sounds exhausting.

Anyways, I noticed Jemima, the smaller WH, will walk around on her "knees" instead of standing all the way up and only when she MUST walk. She lays down in place to eat and drink, unlike the other two who will run back and forth from food to water. To note - she CAN walk, just prefers not to. When I took her out separately and placed her on the carpet she stood tall to look for her sisters and tried to get to them. So she isn't unable to walk... just not really interested in walking like the others are.

I haven't been supplementing with niacin because I was using a duck specific starter crumble (mannapro) but I'm wondering if that is the problem? I am going to head out and pick up some niacin tonight because from what I've read, it couldn't hurt.

So is that what I'm dealing with? Or is she just a lazy regular duckling? Or could it be something worse that I need to try and identify? Thanks for the help.

Please go and get the product on this thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...s-niacin-riboflavin-deficiency.1228833/page-3 This is something that can happen even if feeding duck starter some ducklings just need more of the niacin and the B complex liquid seems to get them to bounce back faster when they are already having problems.

@jennybvcr

Thank you! I have added brewers yeast to their food and have been giving her a concentrated nutridrench water and she seems better even in 12 hours.

It's 100mg per 1 gallon of water. Watch out to get the regular niacin, because the other one (inositol hexanicotinate) wont work. The one called flush free or no flush is the one you do not want.
This is the best one I found on Amazon. It's hard to find "Niacin as Nicotinic Acid."
Almost all of the niacin/niacinamide supplements say "no flush" or "time release." This is the only good one that doesn't say that:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TIY6C38/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AUFVE8MKYQJLL&psc=1

An extra plus--it comes in the perfect 100mg dosage for a gallon of water. :)

I plan to dissolve this in my ducklings' water plus a tablespoon of AniMed Brewers Yeast in their feed. I picked up 8 ducklings from Tractor Supply and one of them can hardly walk. It's been my experience for hatchery ducks to have joint/leg problems...
