New Quail mom. color and gender questions
Looking to get a couple if coturnix hens in the next week or so. I know some colors cannot be sexed by feather. Currently looking at these too potentially coming home with me. Are either of these sexable colors ? -

What did my coturnix hen lay?

Growth/tumor? Something on Quail's Head
So, one of my hens has had this little growth on her head. And I just noticed today that there is a hole in the skin, and underneath its black, and looks like matted hair.... bird doesn't seem to be in distress, even when it's touched. Quail beak bleeding
Hello everybody. I am new to owning quails, it has been 2 weeks since I got them. We have 4 female and 1 male coturnix quails. They are in a coop of size(LxWxH) 1560x520x680mm. They are around 5 to 6 weeks old. We had one egg so far and then no more after that. One of the females keeps pecking... -
Unique colours this time
Got a bunch of unique and New (to me) colours in my most recent hatch. They're growing into their colours quite nicely. I have mostly no idea whether they're Male or Female... one or two I have ideas. These are just a sampling from the 26 in the last clutch.- Wandering_r0gue

What do I feed newly hatched quail?

Advice for pipping quail, day 22...
I have a clutch of 15 eggs, all viable as of day 14. It's now day 22 for my quail and yesterday we had 5 start pipping. The humidity has been between 50-70% since day 14 and heat at 99.5. Is it true it can take 12-24 hours for quail to "unzip"? Any other advice for a first-time hatcher too...- SMMS3617

Is it worth it to order hatching eggs in November??
