We have 4 guinea keets that we got beginning of June.. they are probably about 6-8 weeks old now.. they’re already outside in the coop with the hens and young turkeys as we thought they would learn to roost in the coop at night with the other birds..as were rounding up our free range chickens...
Posting again with the other 4 rescue birds. All birds are continuing to thrive/ put on weight even in their temporary accommodations. So these are the next 4 that I'm curious about. As a reminder we rescued 8 birds, and the first four were deemed a silkie, wellsummer, red star, and white rock...
Hi everyone! Just wanted to post an update because I am OVER THE MOON! :celebrate

The next morning I noticed that one of the guinea’s was acting much better. She was walking around, eating, drinking...
It almost seems like Bucky, our biggest rooster, has become the "leader" of the guineas. He will attack Molasses, Lily, and Storm and the entire flock of guineas will join in and beat the poor things until they run away or fly into the trees. Ang and Fire are doing just fine with the guinea...
Hi everyone! I’m still a fairly new chicken-mom. Every time I feel like I’m getting the hang of things and my chicks are all happy and healthy, something else happens! :th
Amongst my half-a-dozen chickens, I also have 4 guinea fowls, I’d say about 3 months old. We have recently transitioned...
Hello. I have a mixed flock of 10 week old guineas, silver laced wyandotte,an easter egger rooster, and 6 sex link hens and 2 roosters that are almost 2 years old. I will be combing them all in the next couple weeks and need advice on the best feed for them all.
I have fertile eggs (about 90% hatch rate ) and keets for sale in southern Central Missouri- SE of Springfield.
My guineas are pearl with a line of lavendar in the past. This results with a few lower wing feathers being white on some of my birds.
My keets range from 1 day to 3 weeks at the...
I am just wanting to make sure this is not a problem. My 1 week old guinea keets have their bottom of their wings sticking out a bit. Feathers just started growing there. Diet is exactly what it should be.
Is this normal growth or do I need to change something? Wrap their wings like ducks...
Hello everyone, I have 5 Guineas that has been to this cage for about 2 weeks in not sure how old are they but how much should I wait till I release them outside the cage.. Because there are wild chickens that enter our garden..
Thanks. —Kale
My son decided to work towards hatching is own guinea eggs. We are supporting him but he has been doing all of research so I am here for any suggestions/help.
He has a still air incubator and is manually turning. They are in a dark room. The temp. is about 100. The humidity hung at about...
So, I just hatched 20 keets, and I wanted some help IDing the colors because the last batch that I hatched had two that I would have sworn were both pearl grey, and one of them feathered out buff dundotte. I have a friend that specifically wants only dark colored birds so I want to avoid...
So we have 16 guinea keets that's are a couple weeks old now. We plan to let them total free range (with shelter and feeding option) once they are old enough, but what age would that be? 6 months or 12 weeks? Or maybe some other time? I am at a loss. We want them to be able to take care of...
So my guinea fowl is currently at day 24 tomorrow is the day i remove the egg tray but the problem is there are two type of eggs in the incubator..
1. Guinea is in day 24
2. Turkey is in day 8
3. Ducks is in day 8
And all of the remaining eggs are at the same incubator because the other...
Iv'e noticed something in the new guineas, they started to lay eggs but these eggs are smaller than usual, also the older fowl stopped laying eggs!
i got about 36 eggs in the incubator but will they hatch at all?
please help me!
I'm looking to add some color to my flock but I don't need 15 of em.
I've been searching for guinea hatcherys for the last week and can't find any that don't require at least 15keet minimum - is there any out there?!
I have an opportunity to acquire 10 ten month old guineas (who have previously been around a lab).
We have wanted guineas, but weren't sure how to go about it with our border collie female.
They are used to being in a coop, so we would also get a coop and do some training with them in order to...
My husband and I would like to add guineas to our hobby farm, but can not find any locally. I can order keets online, but I have yet to find a site that allows you to order less than 30 at a time! We do not want or need that many. I currently have 30 chickens, and 18 baby chicks on the way. Any...
