Barnyard mix - 9 weeks: pullet or roo?

What do you think? Some pics of the chicken alone and with the others from eggs hatched at the same time. I think it’s possibly a cream legbar crossed with an Easter egger.

Is all flock feed of for laying bends?

hi again, So after my small flock I had for a few years was wiped out last year by a bobcat, I purchased 12 chickens (and some ducks) this season and one of the girls has turned out to be a roo. So I have some questions about feeding. I use to give my old hens Dumor 16% layer pellet all year...

    Hen or roo?

I’m a new chicken owner and I’m curious if my barred rock is really a roo! It’s comb seems really red for being around 7 weeks old! The comb looks a little more red in person then in the pictures. Also the most dominate of the group.

    Possible early signs of Roos?

#1 EE or cinnamon queen is what they told us seems to have some reddish on its comb and wattles are turning red as well. #2 RIR has a larger comb (thats turning reddish at the base) than #3 who is also a RIR Could this be an early sign of them being Roos?

    Hen or roo?

New chicken owner. I got these from the Easter egger bin at Rural King. They are at least 8 weeks old. Do you think they are really Easter eggers? Do you think pullet or roo? Thank you!

Silkie X polish cross 6 weeks old

Gender guesses for this sweet baby? It’s the first and only chick I’ve ever hatched! Thrilled baby is 6 weeks old and doing great. Any guesses on cockerel or pullet? I had no problem determining my polish genders.. the silkies were very hard. Now that this cross is completely new to me, I...

    Black Australorp pullets

Do I have 2 black Australorp pullets? They look very different if they are the same breed. The one with a long tail is much louder, but hasn't acted "in charge". There's nothing that indicates the other one is getting pecked to cause her to lose her tail. They are probably around 5-6 weeks...

    Roo turken?

Hi! I’m pretty sure this is a roo because of the comb size and colors compared to my other girls but I wanted to ask for a second opinion. Any thoughts? This is my first batch of turkens. Also long shot but any ideas with the silkie? *the cage is temporary, currently deep cleaning the brooder*

What gender is my mixed bantam?

May I ask what gender my 6-week-old bantam is? He/she is mixed, OEGB and a bit of japanese (im guessing since her parents are mixed too). I'm having a hard time guessing, since I can't tell whether its back feathers are rounded or not. Thanks in advance! ♥️

Is this a black sex link roo?!

Hi! We bought 5 sex link chicks from a local feed store. 2 are gold sexlink, 1 is a red sex link, and 2 are black sex links. We were told they were all female, but one of the black sexlinks had a white spot on their head. I didn’t realize a white spot on a black sex link meant male, and it...

    Type/confirmation of these Silkie Roos

Hello fellow Silkie enthusiasts! I have a couple roosters I'd like some Silkie breeders/experts to critique for me. I have a lot of trouble finding good pics and explanations of how a Silkie should look. I know the spotted white boy is not an accepted color but I'm wanting to know thoughts on...

    Could we have a roo?

This is only the second time raising chicks and we picked up twenty from the local farm store. We’re hoping we might get one rooster from the batch since we will want to free range them once they are old enough. One of the barred rocks was clearly from a prior hatching than the rest and was the...

Young Chicken Death. Fighting? Roo issue?

Hello! I am new to chickens and have done a fairly large amount of research but I am at a loss here. I have 3 young Ayam Cemani chickens, about 6 1/2 weeks old, that I raised from eggs...I went out to check on them and one was dead! just laying there lifeless. I have no idea what happened. I...

    Hen or rooster

We bought 6 easter egger chicks in June we ended up with 2 cockerels which we rehomed and we're left with what we thought was 4 pullets, but now we are questioning if one of them is a cockerel that just developed late. We did have a dominant rooster in our flock that we had to dispatch 3 days...

Available for Rehoming - 6x Male F1 Crosses in Beaufort, SC

I am aware that cockerels are a dime a dozen, but I wanted to make these boys available to anyone willing to rehome them. They were hatched out by a broody hen in our backyard, but the eggs came from a mixed flock of all pure breed hens and two roosters. There were two roosters in that flock...

My "girls" are worrying me - Balvaders & Rhode Island Red

So confused as to whether these "girls" really are girls . Balvaders are 12wks - the smaller one has flashes of green in their neck but the other one is huge with tree trunk legs. The Rhode island red is 10wks and has some beautiful green feathers under the brown 😞 We've had chickens before...
