Our little Buttercup, a 2-Year Old Serama, developed wry neck around the beginning of August. It has been an incredible struggle and I’ve spent a lot of time on this forum and in books trying to help her. Reading about the experience of others has helped me navigate her care and may have saved...
My rescue rock dove, Squabble, is sitting on two serama eggs from Dolly and Jeremy, and there's already development in one of the eggs! It has been 3 days so far and so there's between 16 to 18 days left.
I did try with a clutch of three eggs a week ago but none of the eggs developed, so super...
I have 3 fluffy and handsome little boys for sale. Two are 5 weeks old and 1 is 3 weeks old. Cannot keep any roos in city. Excellent quality (sourced from alchemist farm). Asking $35 each obo.
I unfortunately reached my limit to how many poultry I can have where I live. All three are Serama chicks; one cockerel and two pullets. Must go together. $15 for all of them.

Hello everyone! I have week old Serama chicks that hatched from one of my incubators. I know it’s pretty hard to tell, but was wondering your thoughts on possible genders? I heard sometimes one of the genders has their tail feathers come in sooner? Also curious as to the yellow-dotted (brown)...
Hello! So we incubated twelve Serama eggs and seven of them hatched. The last two that hatched randomly died after about five hours in the brooder. They were eating, drinking, and had clear butts. Maybe just not fully developed internally?
Is there an official name for this colour? Jeremy is 4-5 months old and is still getting his gold laces, but I cannot find any pictures of chickens with both gold lacing and white on their heads. He had a light orange head, black body and white underside as a chick.
Ok so I have a small serama hen that just started laying. I have one silkie rooster that is very nice to her. I was hoping to they could match up! Is it possible? Or will the silkie rooster be too big for her? He tried once but she sounded panicked. Anyone have any experience they could share...
Howdy BYC!
So I've got this awesome Serama rooster named Blue who is absolutely gorgeous now but wasn't always so...when he molted his down and started getting his juvenile feathers, he had a few bald patches and was kinda scraggly looking. It's my understanding and experience, however, that...
We added 6 more chicks to our flock earlier in the spring and know most of their breeds and genders, but are still questioning a few. here’s a video of them today:
Mostly I’m wondering about 3 of them:
For the 1st chicken in the video, Priscilla - the buff chicken with the lovely hair, we...
Hello BYC!
Just now, my mother and I witnessed quite the peculiar event: one of our 3 year old Seramas flew into our house, perched on the kitchen counter, and slowly fell asleep. Now our chickens are free roamers, and never really enter our house, which is why this struck us as odd.
This...
Hello chicken peeps,
I'm new to chickens (I have quail). My friend gave me some Serama x OEGB eggs, and I hatched 4 chicks. Can anyone tell me what sex they are, and the name of their colors? They are all 3 weeks old today.
Hello!
I was looking at Seramas and I wanted to add maybe 2 to my backyard flock. I am certain my flock has Marek's as my 2 Polish died from it and 1 of my silkies has a weirdly shaped pupil which is why I am looking for vaccinated chickens. I don't think I am able to keep chicks completely...
I got three Serama chicks at 4 weeks of age, though the black one is 3 week old. They were being given away free to a good home so I quickly jumped into getting them.
Just clearing up that I got everything covered for them care wise, as Seramas are fragile critters.
Quarantined from current...
I have attached the rooster (Serama frizzle) and the mom (showgirl) and then three pictures of the latest chick hatched. I found the coloring really beautiful and interesting and nothing like the parents.. is this considered partridge? Thanks!
