«We Could Be Legends»

The nurse ushered the children inside. It was not her job to ask what they were doing here, just to heal. She smiled brightly. "Hello, my name is Miss Hailey." She sat led them to a bright, clean, reception room.
Wolfram, not even aware of a different person lifting his body from Lachlan's arms, hung limply there, unmoving.
"He can't really help him unless he's shifted. He has to wake up and shift."
"We can at least stop the bleeding."
The same nurse nodded. "We can heal him."
Toby slowly followed her inside. He glanced behind him occasionally to see if the others were following him. He entered the room and looked around. It was surprisingly boring for what he thought a super secret base would look like.
"Can you take him inside?"She asked.
"Whatever you do, I'm staying with him." Lachlan muttered at the nurse, though his voice had shifted to his more usual calm sound. He stood by her, unsure of what to do.

"Alright, you can stay with him. It'll probably make him more at ease. You must be his brother, or a friend?"She asked gently, leading Lachlan inside, carrying Wolfram.

(In order to move this along, I'll be brief and assume everyone is in the car.)
Indigo locked the car doors with a click and turned the key in the transmission. The car, running solely on ethanol from recent technology upgrades in engines, eased into reverse and slid quietly down the road, gaining speed. She drove down roads slick with rain, and was surprised to see it was still light enough to not use headlights. It had seemed like she was in the cave for hours.
She turned down a road where the buildings looked older and in varying degrees of decay.
There, one large building stood out, though they did attempt to make it look older, the office building still gleamed on every window, shaded so you couldn't see inside.
She ran along the steps to into, cursing her informal attire, and rang in, whispering a password into the voice box.
Indigo Alan, muttered the man on the other side.
"Be right back," she said.
She ran back to her car and opened the doors.
"Welcome to the Multitude," she said with a brilliant smile. She whispered to Toby, waking him back up, bringing back all the pain.

Toby groaned and sat up. He looked around, trying to figure out where he was. Last thing he remembered was being outside the Pure base. "Where are we?" He mumbled. He pet Alpha, who seemed very happy Toby was now awake.

"The Multitude base," Indigo said. "We're gonna get that lead out of you."

"Th-the bullet isn't in me anymore. Mrs. Hero pulled it out." Toby mumbled. He shivered, and held tightly on to Alpha.

"Oh, right," Indigo said. "You need that sealed good. Can you walk? We need to get you inside."

"I'm not going into the Multitude. I can stitch this up at home, and I will be fine." He protested.

Indigo tugged his arm and dragged him out, before realising everyone else was watching. "Nope, you aren't," she rung in again and a pretty blond woman with old fashioned nurse clothes came out.
"You need our help," she said with a warm Southern accent. "Come along, come along, let's getchu children out of the cold." She was also referring to the teenagers.

A black and white bantam followed the lady out. His eyes latched onto Indigo, and he marched towards her. If a chicken can look angry, he did.
Frosty glared up at her. "We need to talk." He muttered, dragging one of his feet against the gravel road anxiously.

Toby stumbled out of the car and glared at Indigo. This place looks like it's going to kill me and sell my organs on the black market.
Maybe I should just listen to her. She's trying to help, after all. No, this is the person that can make anyone do what she wants without them knowing, the person who made you have not one,
two panic attacks in the two days you've seen her, and the person who just kidnapped you. I will not listen to her. He looked down at Alpha, who was whimpering and staring at Toby. Gah, don't look at me like that Alpha. You're gonna make me change my mind.

"Oh, hello, Frosty," Indigo directed a rather annoyed voice to her much smaller co-worker. "What is it today?"

"All right." Indigo looked at all the chirren. "Business calls! Get with the escort, she'll show you in."
Indigo followed him. "We're not meeting in a bush again," she muttered. "Get somewhere warm. Inside."

Frosty muttered something about it being a good idea at the time, then trotted quickly after her. He looked around to make sure no one was in earshot. "What were you thinking?!" He squawked, then quickly lowered his voice, as if afraid of being overheard. "You came here straight from that Pure base, didn't you?" He asked, though it wasn't really a question. "And don't try to trick me- I saw that kid's wound." He again anxiously scratched the ground. "You practically led the enemy right to us! Alan, you know better than this." He stared at her with an expression close to confusion.

"Those kids could die! They basically were kidnapped! Anyways, the Pure knows where we are anyways. They're too busy to sabotage us," Indigo said.
She wasn't always as cautious as Frosty, perhaps because she was more than ten times his size.

"Too busy?! We are their number one enemy! You just took their prisoners!" Frosty hissed, clicking his beak in irritation. "Does the safety of the Multitude matter to you at all?" He glared at her angrily.

"Yes," Indigo said. "But our goal is to help people, and that's what I'm doing."

Bleddyn slouched against an unnaturally white wall, her distrust clearly etched across every facial feature. No way am I letting myself be messed with by any more questionable individuals today. "Guess I'll stay out here, then," she muttered to no one in particular, taking care to keep her her screwed-up leg hidden behind her right.
She'd only recently become aware of her left leg's nakedness. In order to bandage her stab wound, it looked like the Pure's medics must've found it convenient to simply chop the whole left pant leg off...not that it had been too salvageable anyhow.
Now she was left with choppy -not to mention outrageously short- shorts for one leg and regular jeans for the other. The offending bandage itself was no longer worthy of its orginal task; it was now just bloodied shreds of cloth dangling limply from her thigh.

The nurse paused in her tracks, turning to look at Bleddyn."You can come if you like."She offered."If you have any wounds that need treating."
At that moment, she felt Wolfram jerk in her arms.

Wolfram's shoulder twitched, a unnatural smell jerking him from unconsiousness. His eyes shot open, terror and agony clear in the cats eyes. The smell was horrid, smelling to clean and to unfamiler for his liking. He struggled, only making the pain in his shoulder worse. He sank his teeth into the nurses arm, as a natrual reaction, she dropped him. He fell, a shrill yowl splitting the air as he fell to his injured shoulder.

He paused, staring at the nurse. He scrambled to his feet, holding his injured front leg to his chest. He dashed from the nurses grasp, darting towards the only thing he saw familer.

Bleddyn.

Bleddyn couldn't help wincing sympathetically for the nurse as the clawed Wolfram abruptly awoke and spooked.
"Easy, dude," she muttered, bending down with a wince as her wounds assertively reminded her that they existed. She reached out a bloodied hand to bar him in the case he kept skidding forward. "You're okay."

"Friend." Lachlan murmured to the nurse before shooting forward as Wolfram awoke, bit the nurse, and began to race towards Bleddyn. He went after him, worried he may hurt himself. "Wolfram, hold up. You're going to make your wound worse!"

Wolfram skidded to a halt, her hand not even a inch away from his muzzle. He felt dizzy, his shoulder wound aching. He looked away from her hand, and up at her face with a still slightly panicked look. His breathing eased after a few heartbeats, and he let out a soft meow, and then realized he couldn't understand her. He almost leapt out of his skin at Lachlan's voice. He hissed uncertainly, his good front leg trembling from the excessive weight on that side.
He blinked, looking from Lachlan to Bleddyn. Then his muzzle shrunk, his fur vanishing. He shifted into his human form, very clumsily falling onto his knees. He was silent for a minute, panting heavily."I am so stupid!"He snarled suddenly, his good hand on his wounded shoulder.

Bleddyn cocked her head, dirtied blonde locks falling over her left eye. Now that he was on her level, in human form, this was slightly weird.
Then again, all interaction involving Wolfram and her so far had been weird, to put it simply.
"Well, that was an odd choice for first words, but okaaaaaaay."

(*Wolfdyn intensifies*)

Wolfram gritted his teeth, turning his head to look at her."Wanna know something, Bleddyn? I'm odd, but I think you already picked up on that." He turned at the sound of footsteps, and saw the nurse that had been carrying. He let out a defensive growl like noise, flinching away from her. Which only caused his face to be even closer to Bleddyn's, just inches from touching her."Where am I? What is this place?"

Bleddyn raised one brow as he moved closer and in turn, she tried to inch away; which untimately proved impossible since she already had her back pressed up against the wall. So she just awkwardly looked down at her bare feet. You could demand him to back off... "Ehhh...the enchantress convinced us to come here with her. Apparently, it's the base of the Multitude- some unproven resistance against the Pure. According to her, healing the victims of the masked wonders is their specialty."
