A grimace cracked over Bleddyn's face as her cohorts received jeers and explicit stares. A new jolt of crackling loathing surged through her.
No one scorned her gifted companions -the kind she longed to be- and got away unscathed.
As she rolled by, she stooped over, scooped up a handful of rocks, and pitched them smoothly at the offending mugs. "Buzz off, scumbags. No one's mocking you for being publically offensive with your external and internal ugliness."

Sherri groaned. She really hadn't slept much last night. And now she would pay.
It was a Monday, those were the absolute worst. But the rain had stopped.
Even that wasn't enough to lighten her mood. She had been kidnapped, and yet, she and her mother had made a unconscious agreement to go to school and tell no one.
What would it be like to face the kids? Honestly, her curiosity at this was enough to tempt her to go.
She looked in the mirror. There were offensive purplish black smudges under each eye. She frantically smeared makeup over them, but it honestly made her seem more desperate.
She ran a brush through her hair violently, pain blazing across her scalp.
A few snarls remained in her hair, and she was an honest trainwreck. Looking and her watch to see just how much she overslept, and finally noticed the thick silver cuff on her wrist, which inhibited her powers. It was a wonder she had missed it, the eyesore.
Sherri's pale face whitened. She just realized why she was the only one given this. It could be a tracking device, and I'm the perfect, gullible child to be their guide.
She finally looked at her watch, school was in ten minutes, and it was a five minute drive.
She slid into jeans, a t-shirt and a sweatshirt and ran out to the car, driving to school fast as she could.

Toby pulled into the school parking lot and turned down the radio. "Huh, were here early. I guess I forgot that this place is closer to mom's house than my apartment. Go on now, I won't be late, but you will be." He said. He pulled out a note book and a pen and started writing stuff down. "Ok, love ya. See you later." Jessi said, and jumped out of the car. "You too. Be safe, I'll see you after work." He looked up at her. "If something happens, you call me, okay? Even if there's just some jerk that's needs to get some sense knocked into him, call me." Toby said. Jessi nodded, and walked into the school building. Toby turned back to his notebook and continued to write stuff in it.

Wolfram turned to her, grabbing the box. A smile crept across his face, before he suddenly turned back to the dresser. "Thanks. And thank you for helping me."
“You’re welcome,” she replied, returning his smile and drawing up next to him, grabbing a few shirts and placing them into her box. “Why do you think Mapleshade didn’t look in your room for the key?” She asked, glancing up at him and back down at what she was doing. “She clearly looked everywhere else.”

Alice woke to the sound of Toby and Jessi talking in the kitchen. Drive to school? She didn't want to go. She closed her eyes hoping she could force the empty void of sleep to return. She couldn't deal with everyone being worried over her, the sad looks and apologies. She just wanted it to all go back to being normal. She frowned against the bright sunlight that lit up her face, shining in through the big living room window. More voices. Wolfram and Lachlan were up now. She growled complaining at the noise. Then rolled over throwing her pillow over her head to block out the light. The air mattress bouncing up and down as she shifted around, disturbing Dyn, who was next to her.

"I don't know." He murmured quietly. He looked up from the drawer, snatching a necklace laying on the dresser top. "Mapleshade's a weird woman. She does strange things for no reason. She has always avoiding this room like it was haunted or something." He set the necklace in the box gingerly, as if afraid to make any sudden movements with it. "Why though, I'll never understand. And why she wants the key I'll also never understand." He pulled out a sweatshirt from the back of the drawer, instantly pulling it on. Even if the sweatshirt was white, a color he normally wouldn't wear, he didn't even care. He covered his arms, that's all he gave a frick about.

Bleddyn blinked blearly eyes at Alice, seeing not her cousin, but her bothersome mother in the act of pestering her to greet a loathesome weekday. Her fingers came up to rub madly at her encrusted eyes, but her head remained stubbornly put on her pillow. "Huh?"
When she'd cleared away the gritty grime of sleep, the person beside her suddenly was a whole lot more recognizable.
....that's not Mom....
Her gaze began traveling, pairing her unfamiliar surroundings to the surging stream of weighty recollections.
Suddenly she was sitting up, fully alert in record time. "What time is it?"

Grace groaned as her alarm continued to go off. She groped for it, finally finding her phone and turning it off. She really didn't want to go to school. Then again, she also didn't want to have to do a bunch of missed work. She stumbled out of bed, putting on a sweatshirt and jeans.

Peter stood in the kitchen, slowly chewing on a piece of bread with cold butter spread across it. He hasn't felt motivated enough to heat it up.
Grace stepped into the kitchen, blinking rapidly. "Why do you always get up so early?" She complained, though Peter hasn't done anything for her to complain about. He shrugged in response.

"It's still sleep time." Alice growled trying fruitlessly to turn more. Her face was stuck to the plastic of the air mattress. She huffed a sigh she wasn't going to go back to sleep.

Everything seemed to hurt, her hands and nose seemed to be the worst of it though. She pulled the pillow off her head flopping it onto the floor next to her. And stared dully out the window at the sunny day.
