«We Could Be Legends»

Jenna slowly got out of bed. She took a shower and got dressed, and went downstairs. She still couldn't believe what had happened. Yesterday had been an interesting day. Some of her friends were brutally murdered, and she saw her son properly for the first time since he moved out. He must hate me. I do not understand what I did, but he would not talk to me to help me figure it out. She thought. She made a cup of coffee and walked into the living room, sitting at the desk. "Good morning." She said softly, and smiled at Lachlan. "Did you sleep at all?"

Lachlan glanced up from petting Scorch, standing up straight. "Uh, morning. No, I didn't." He murmured, shaking his head. "Did you?" He asked politely, fidgeting with his ripped shirt slightly.

Finlay groaned as light flickered down onto his face, the sun snarling at him to awake. As consciousness clawed at his mind, his insides twisted violently as he remembered the heart shattering night before. Seeing River, Ash, Connor, and Camilla finding out about Tayn's and Thomas's brutal deaths... Hadn't been pleasant.
This is gonna be... Hard, to say the least. I really don't want to get up. He slowly started to pry his eyes open, to see a white wall merely inches from his face. What did I expect, to be back home in my bed? He rolled over, propping himself up into a sitting position for a few moments to glance around. River was seemingly still asleep, so was Camilla, thankfully. Connor and Ash weren't awake either, though Alice, Bleddyn, and Lachlan were.
He slowly rose to his feet, grinding his hands into his eyes until the blurriness receded. He walked forward, stopping beside Lachlan, not caring if he interrupted his and Jenna's small talk. "Mrs. Davis, sorry to bother you, but do you have any dog food laying around that I could give Scorch and Peterson some of? Really sorry, but I couldn't bring their dog food with, it had been smashed open at my house-- Probably on someone's head, heh."

Jenna shook her head. "Not really." She said. She looked at Finlay. "Please, call me Jenna. Yes, we should have food at the bottom of the cabinet. I am not a dog person -or even an animal person, the only animal I've taken care of is Toby's dog- so I do not know if they can eat it." She said.

(Hey @ChickenCowboy02 we're waiting. :3 )
Fritz walked home from Toby and Jessi's house late last night to deliver the news of Thomas and Tayn's murder to his father Breyer. Although he wasn't home, which wasn't all that unusual, he would sometimes be called out on jobs. He rubbed his eyes as his vision was full of blotches of color. He glanced over at Nashville who was still sleeping at the foot of his bed. Eh, Dad'll be back soon, he should be fine. "Oh crap, I'm gonna be late for school." Fritz sprinted to the kitchen and grabbed his backpack and ran off to school.

Wolfram stiffened at her sudden touch, not expecting it at all. He hesitantly put his arms around her, swallowing back a sob. "Thank you..." Was all he could muster. He hated how pathetic his voice sounded, more like a whimpering child then anything.

She finally pulled back, hoping it had helped, eyes searching his face. “You’ll be okay? I have to go...” She said apologetically, gesturing to the watch on her wrist. She set her full box of shirts down and turned towards the door, her hoverboard beginning to lift as she neared. Grabbing her backpack and putting it on, she turned back to Wolfram, and there were tears in her eyes. “I think your mom is proud of you, Wolfram.” She said, the sight of him standing there making her feel bad. “And you aren’t ever alone, no matter how alone you feel. Someone is always there if you ask.” Then she left, sweeping down the stairs and off towards school.

Dyn wants a hug? Alice sat up and gave Dyn a small smile. "You really want a hug?" She had hoped Dyn would have been normal, and threatened to smack her for her thinly veiled apology. But even she seemed to be hurting. Alice moved around on the mattress, both of them bouncing around. She sat next to Dyn and put an arm around her shoulders.

"You know how mom was always trying to not change the weather, but when she was really happy or really sad, she would end up changing it anyway?"
“How could I forget?” Bleddyn chirped more brightly. She waggled her eyebrows at her cousin with feigned horror at being embraced so forwardly. “The lightning burns on your roof always betrayed who’d been a rebellious little pest.”
The michievious sparkle in her eyes faded as she reminisced further and a sad little smile pulled at her mouth. “But, yeah, all of us knew when Aunt Tayn was up or down.”

Wolfram watched her go, shaken and comforted at the same time. "Mom? Proud of me?" He whispered to the empty room, feeling as though Brisa had swept the life from it. He shook his head, staring at the wolf shaped necklace lying in the box. "As if."

After finishing dragging his stuff out into his car, he changed into a clean pair of jeans, a black long sleeve shirt and a dark gray sweatshirt, throwing his bloody and shredded clothes into the trash.
He pulled the hood of the sweatshirt over his bruised face, lifting the last box, his phone buzzing repeatedly in his pocket. He stared at the empty apartment, sighing. He turned, heading outside quickly. He threw the last box in the back seat, digging his keys from his pocket as he got in the car. Starting the engine, he forcefully snatched the seatbelt, buckling it. He pulled his phone out, answering Lily's call. "Lily what is it?!" He snarled, pulling out of the driveway. "I don't want to talk to you!"
"Wolf, listen will you? Why can't we talk? Meet up somewhere maybe? What is it, is there...is there someone else?"
Wolfram was silent, pulling into Jessi's driveway not far away.
"Wolfram, answer me. Is there someone else?"
After moments of silence, he finally spoke. "No." He croaked softly. "But I don't want to be with you either Lily. I can't trust you." He got out of the car, ending the call as he walked up the steps into Jessi's house, pulling the hood off his head as he walked inside. Bleddyn and Alice had awoken, but Camilla was silent, sleeping. He avoided Bleddyn's gaze, staring at the ground. "Morning." He mumbled to the two girls.

Toby stared at his notebook, setting his pen down. He couldn't stop thinking about the Pure, and how he could get the poison. I need to find an excuse to get off work. I could say I was manic and had to be hospitalized.
Lying to your boss? That'll get you fired.
Hm, maybe say I'm grieving over mrs. & mr. Fleur's death?
You didn't know them.
Buuuut, I could say I had to take care of mom, she's going through a lot.
Oh, playing the "I'm a good person who cares about my mom" card? He knows you have parent issues.
I do not.
Ha! That's the stupidest thing I've heard all week! If you don't have parent issues, why do you flinch whenever they look at you? Or why are you full of so much hate whenever you hear they're name? Or why you're so desperate to avoid them at all costs? Face it buddy, you hate them.
Hate them? They were terrible parents!
No they weren't, you just don't remember how good they are. People remember more of the bad than the good.
Oh, shut up, I don't need to be lectured, especially not by a voice in my head.

Toby put his notebook in his backpack and got out of the car, slamming the door behind him.

Brisa headed briskly toward school, hiding her hoverboard under the bushes just out of sight so that it wouldn’t get stolen or mysteriously destroyed, and walking up to and through the front doors. She determinedly walked into her classroom and took a seat at the back of the room, setting down her backpack and getting out her English book, then glancing around to see if anyone she knew was there yet. Nope. No one’s here. The teacher wasn’t there either, thankfully, as she was a minute late. She sighed and rested her head on her hands, closing her eyes and letting her almost-dry hair fall around her face.

(I’m homeschooled, so I don’t know what public schools are really like, so sorry for the upcoming mistakes, guys...:))
