Lachlan glanced up from petting Scorch, standing up straight. "Uh, morning. No, I didn't." He murmured, shaking his head. "Did you?" He asked politely, fidgeting with his ripped shirt slightly.
Finlay groaned as light flickered down onto his face, the sun snarling at him to awake. As consciousness clawed at his mind, his insides twisted violently as he remembered the heart shattering night before. Seeing River, Ash, Connor, and Camilla finding out about Tayn's and Thomas's brutal deaths... Hadn't been pleasant.
This is gonna be... Hard, to say the least. I really don't want to get up. He slowly started to pry his eyes open, to see a white wall merely inches from his face. What did I expect, to be back home in my bed? He rolled over, propping himself up into a sitting position for a few moments to glance around. River was seemingly still asleep, so was Camilla, thankfully. Connor and Ash weren't awake either, though Alice, Bleddyn, and Lachlan were.
He slowly rose to his feet, grinding his hands into his eyes until the blurriness receded. He walked forward, stopping beside Lachlan, not caring if he interrupted his and Jenna's small talk. "Mrs. Davis, sorry to bother you, but do you have any dog food laying around that I could give Scorch and Peterson some of? Really sorry, but I couldn't bring their dog food with, it had been smashed open at my house-- Probably on someone's head, heh."
