Jenna smiled back at him. "No, go ahead." She said. She took a sip of her coffee and choked when it was still too hot to drink.
Finlay shot her a kind smile, before turning and setting off into the kitchen, quickly pouring Scorch and Peterson some kibble, to which they happily obliged to eating.

Wolfram flinched, looking up from his phone. "S-sorry, I-I didn't mean to disturb you." He looked down quickly, silencing his phone as a unknown number started texting him. Must be one of Lily's friends...Great. I hate my life. He pulled the hood of his sweatshirt over his face, not even daring to look at Bleddyn.
Bleddyn's glare intensified as the device continued to produce obnoxious alerts. Clad in the stupid frilly nightgown that'd been loaned to her, she really didn't want to get up, but this was getting ridiculous.
She hauled herself off the squeaky mattress and marched over to him, hands on hips.
"Mute it or something?" she suggested testily, barely refraining from peering at the screen and completely defying all basic social boundaries.

'Lily did nothing to you. Take her back! She loves you! Come on idiot, no one else is gonna fall for you, just take her back.' Wolfram looked up from the text, and was met by the icy blue eyes of Bleddyn. "Um...hi....yeah..." His pale fingers fumbled with the volume on the phone, turning it down until it was completely mute. Voice's played with his mind, like it was a puppet and child would play with. 'Someone will always be there for you.' 'No one else is going to fall for you!' He narrowed his eyes, snapping back to his senses when he realized he was still staring at Bleddyn. "Sorry...about.....uh...that." Shaking the voices from his mind, he nervously glanced behind her, as if expecting her father to come from no where.

"Dad's asleep upstairs," Bleddyn answered the unvoiced question, vaguely amused by the fear her father had instilled in him. "And should stay that way for a long time. He was up late." Crying. He and Mom both. She rubbed her bare arms as the recollections induced a full-body shiver.
She then aimlessly spun in a wide circle, the flimsy skirt spinning out around her. "Anybody have the time yet?"

"It's 8:30." Wolfram replied bluntly, his face lighting up with the blue glow of his phone. Oh how I would love to punch both Lily and her stupid friend in the face right now!!!
'Fine!'
'You aren't good enough for her anyway. She deserves someone so much better then you, a depressed, suicidal, Bi-Poler, unpredictable, untrustworthy jerk. Just so you know dude, she was your only chance at love! She loved you unconditionally until you started neglecting her!'

He hissed, gritting his teeth together.
'Maybe she'll be happier with who ever she cheated in me with. Good for her. And for the record, Taylor, I never neglected her. I loved her more then you can comprehend. And quite frankly I still do, but...I can't trust her. Not after she betrayed me. I wouldn't keep texting me, I and a few people I know can pack a pretty powerful punch when we want to.'
He tossed his phone onto the couch, pulling the hood free of his face. Somehow sending those few words to Lily's pathetic friend had seemed to lift a weight from his shoulders. Like the sunlight had drawn the darkness from his mind. Maybe moms death still hangs over me, maybe we're still being stalked by Mapleshade and dad, but...maybe I have to stop being so pessimistic to defeat them.

Bleddyn gave a surprised little huff at Alice's contagious encouragement and straightened up. "When you put it that way, it gets even more sad, you know," she murmured, reaching out to playfully mess her cousin's already scruffy hair. "But I'll do my part if you can do yours."

Bleddyn glared over at Wolfram, irked at him and his hyperactive phone for having shattered the pitiful peace. "Geeze, we just woke up. Can't whoever that is chill?"

Alice rolled her eyes and nodded, "Yeah."

She crawled across the air mattress and sat down on the floor next to Camilla, gently pushing hair back that had fallen across her face. Maybe it was best she stay asleep, she thought, just as Wolframs phone came flying over toward them. She grabbed at it but ended up batting it to the floor. oops. She looked up at him and shrugged, it was his own fault for trying to hit Camilla with his phone. Though maybe he had more on his mind, and just hadn't noticed her there.

Bleddyn cocked an eyebrow and fell back onto a nearby couch defeatedly.
"Wow I'm going to be so late that I can't even laugh," she groaned, planting her face into a bystanding pillow. "I'm not even dressed. Maybe I should give up while I'm ahead and skip...but then there's that test...ugh."

"Get dressed, now. If you get dressed now and quickly I can get you there before you know it." Wolfram dug his keys from his pocket, looking over at her. "Sure, your dad will kill me, but at least you'll get to school."

"Remember, Dad's not awake," Bleddyn pointed out with a slow wink. "And I don't think he expects me to actually listen to him."
She spun on her heel, grabbed the clothes she'd been given yesterday from their random resting spot, and darted for a local bathroom. She shed the nightgown with a parting hiss of disgust and pulled the slightly less despicable sweater on, then the jeans.
She was back out and skidding up to Wolfram a mere minute later, hair still greatly monstrous. "Alright, let's go."

Wolfram couldn't stifle a snort at her frizzy hair as he stood up. "Lovely hair by the way." He commented teasingly, opening the front door. He stood aside, letting her go first. A cool, gently breeze flooded in the door, though the day still surprisingly warm for November.
