«We Could Be Legends»

Toby glared at the car in front of him. "Listen bird, if you do something like that again I will shoot you faster than you can ask why the chicken crossed the road. Understand?" He snarled at Frosty. "And when you called me "taxi-boy" you're implying I'm being paid for this, which I don't think I am." This is what happens when I listen to a chicken. I abandon the people I know to go check on some super secret base, get embarrassed by said chicken, and I'm not even getting paid for this.

(im switching Del to third person bc I cant FRICKIN KEEP UP WITH THREE CHARRIES AND ONE I HAVE TO SWITCH POINT OF VIEWS AAAA)

Misty had picked up Delilah and Zion from school and walked them over to the park far before anyone else. Her instincts told her that everyone would be meeting there, and as she looked from her perch in the tallest tree in the part she was smug. She licked her paw and sat back on her haunches on the slim branch, narrowing her eyes at anything that moved. She swiveled her ears around towards the road then placed them back in relaxation. Misty heaved a sigh and looked at her children beside her.

Zion closed his eyes and ruffled his feathers against the breeze, he let escape a soft screech that meant to be a sigh and pushed his beak against his chest, contemplating what happened at school. He lifted one of his legs and scratched his neck then put it down and preened his chest for a moment. He turned his head towards his parent and opened one eye, opening his beak to speak. "Mom, why are we just sitting in this tree?"

Delilah struggled to keep her balance on the eternally-moving branch, she glared over the greenery of the park. Her stomach rumbled and she shot a look at her mom, who didn't seem to notice. "Mom." she snapped then tried to regain her balance again, once she did she looked at her parent again." Mom, why are we sitting here in the park just waiting for nothing. I'm hungry and tired and I have homework to do," she growled.

Misty sighed and exchanged glances with her children. "We're waiting for some people," she answered. "Del if you were hungry you could have just told me." She muttered before she backflipped off the branch and landed on the ground. Following her nose she found a nest of rabbits hidden in a line of bushes. Luckily for her, the mother was nursing the babies. She peeled back her lips and grinned, her fangs gleaming in the slivers of sunlight peering through the leaves. She dug into the nest, ripping away the fur and other bedding to reveal the mother and the week old babies. The mother looked into her eyes, frozen in fear before Misty lunged and gripped its head in her teeth, snapping its neck in a single jerk of her head. She lifted it up and shook the babies off of its teats into the hole. Misty placed it beside the den, a few drops of blood trickling off her whiskers and then snapped up a few of the babies. She then took the rest in her mouth and picked up the mother then ran back over to her kids, she gave the mother to Del, who absolutely wouldn't finish it. Then the babies were tossed to Zion. It took Misty a while to convince them that it was safe to eat, but when the did they didn't fuss. Misty took a moment to lick her chops and praise herself for the prosperous hunting, for she hadn't hunted in decades

Toby's eyes widened and his face had a slight reddish tint to it. "Um, what? No way, I was not asking about her. We're not having this conversation. Keep this up and I'll give you to Charlie. His wife makes a great chicken soup." He said nervously, his foot pressing against the gas more. His fingers drummed nervously on the steering wheel, and he quickly turned the radio up a little louder.
"Hey, c'mon!" Frosty complained. "I'm feeling very attacked right now. Alan, tell your friend to stop insulting me."
"Ha, no, I don't want to be reminded of those reasons. I meant that kid," Sherri gestured toward the unconscious Peter.
Indigo coasted, slightly slower than her flooring the gas pedal. They were greeted by aging maples and firey tones, well established from their planting the beginning of the century.
"Looks like the park," she said.
Bleddyn shrugged and leaned over to the seat occupied by Peter's seeming corpse. "He's been out of it since he teleported the both of us out of school," she replied disinterestedly, her face smudged to a window to take in the scene laid out before them. It seems like...everyone's here...and hey, look, we've got significant company.
Indigo parked with a squeal that gave the unprepared people a whiplash. Sherri had expected it this time though.
Indigo clicked a button. The doors opened automatically.
Sherri hopped out a bit unsteadily. She tested her shifting abilities, turning into a little orange cat. Fortunately, they worked. She shifted back, unsure how to approach the group of people.
Bleddyn, though her she was raring to zoom out and get into battle stance, decided to be considerate for once and pointedly motioned at Peter. "Hey, Enchantress, are we just leaving him in here as Pure bait or what?"
"That's a good question." Indigo promptly pulled out a water bottle and emptied it on him. ( she is still wearing a headset @RoostersAreAwesome)
Peter shot up. "What the heck!" He yelped. Sputtering, Peter dragged his hoodie sleeve across his face. "Really?! You could've just slapped me or some..." he trailed off, staring at the small group. "Uh.. what'd I miss?" He asked.

"You do realize this thing is still on, right?" Frosty asked dryly, tapping the watch-like mechanism with a foot.

"We're at the park to meet up with everyone, Sleeping Beauty, and we're not exactly surrounded by friends," Bleddyn supplied laconically as one of her fingers mechanically tapped on a window. "Take a look-see and tell me that those vans are operated by innocent beings."

"She's not my friend." Toby growled. "That's the least of my worries right now. So what if she hears how I plan to kill you if you keep talking. I doubt she could arrest me. Oh wait, this is the person who thinks kidnapping is okay!" He said the last part loud enough for Indigo to hear him, if she was even still on the phone.

"Peter, you probably sustained countless blows to the head on this trip. I highly doubt a good-natured slap would work to bring you into consciousness," Indigo scolded.
Then she screamed through Frosty's foot. "If that's your idea of kidnapping, then ambulances kidnap people all the time! We have to bring down all ambulances to protect human rights apparently."

"Yes that's my idea of kidnapping, I told you repeatedly I didn't want to go! But does anyone listen to me? Noooo, cause I'm just a stupid idiot! People have the right to refuse treatment-even lifesaving-unless mentally impaired by drugs and alcohol, brain injury, or psychiatric illness. Or if they are a minor - and although I look like I'm ten, I'm not - or a threat to the community." Toby yelled back at her.

Indigo winced at the volume. "I care about you, stupid."

Indigo winced at the volume. "I care about you, stupid."

"Well maybe you shouldn't! And do you know how creepy that sounds? You don't know me. I bet you only care about the key and saving the world or whatever. Not me. You can't care about someone you don't know." Toby replied, his voice getting softer at the end. He was actually surprised she said that, and a little touched, but he didn't let it show.

Indigo stood for a second, unsure how to reply. Somehow she didn't feel saying something so personal was good to do via Frosty's foot.
