«We Could Be Legends»

"I know you are, and I didn't mean to offend you. What I meant is for well behaved kids in general." Jenna said calmly, slightly embarrassed it turned out like she thought Brisa needed to be well behaved. After all, Brisa seemed like one of the most mature out of all the teenagers.
“Oh, okay. Sorry.” Brisa replied, feeling a bit embarrassed herself for assuming that so quickly. “A lot of people say that kind of stuff when they think I’m younger, so I guess I kinda jumped to a conclusion pretty fast.”

"I completely understand." Jenna said, and smiled. She glanced around. Still no signs of River, Misty, the enchanter, or the others. She knew Jessi would be safe with River and Misty, but she was also worried about Toby. She didn't know where he was, and for all she knew he could be dead or captured.

Bleddyn's hands dropped from her face as if they'd suddenly become lead. She looked at him with wide eyes. "Dang, Wolf." Her tongue crept out to lick her dry lips. "Dannnnnng." She shook her head once and then her dumbstruck gaze was riveted back on him. "Heck, I know that guy was quite the ba- you know, but still. Having to kill your own parent..." Finding her supply of words to be vanquished for that point, she tried a different thought, but found these to sound no less empty and useless. "You did the right thing for her and for us..."
"Did I really though?" Wolfram pulled his gaze away from the cold stone of the ground, forcing himself to meet her dumbstruck eyes. "Did I really do the right thing though? I only succeeded in making Mapleshade angrier, and making myself a murderer. If anything I did the worst possible thing." He paused, taking in a shuddering breath, the cold air seeming to freeze his lungs. "I didn't want to kill him. I didn't. But he was going to kill Alice, kill River...I couldn't let him do that...but I killed him, Bleddyn!" He paused again, his words clinging to him. A look of guilt managed to set itself on his face, mixed with regret. "Mapleshade's going to kill you guys for that poison, and it's my fault. Because of what I did she is going to kill everyone just for some poison!"

"Hate to say it, but you were already a murderer." Bleddyn held his gaze for awhile then before looking away for a weighted moment. The horrific mayhem that they'd cultivated in the tunnels was all flooding back with jarringly clear imagery. "Both of us are, actually." And I still have yet to feel any remorse for it.
She folded her hands together on her lap before her earnest eyes were on his again. "I can imagine you didn't. That's...that's the good in you. Despite everything he's done to you, you still wanted to feel compassion...until he didn't give you a choice like the scum he was. Think about that for a bit."

"Thanks for making me feel better." Wolfram growled sarcastically, leaning on his elbows until his thighs hurt from the amount of pressure. He fell silent, dropping his gaze from hers, staring at the ground. She's right though. I already was a murderer. But I felt nothing then. Nothing at all.
"We feel no remorse for those Pure members we killed, because we thought they where in the wrong." He dragged his gaze back to hers slowly. "That's messed up. You can kill two people yet feel so differently about both of them. That's...just screwed up...to feel nothing by killing someone..."

"Watch Mist and Riv show up on foot," Ash guessed with a well-educated snort and folded her arms in wait for the arrival of the less timely members of their uncoordinated menagerie.

Bleddyn backed up to the nearest parked vehicle and hopped onto the bumper, completely impudent of triggering its potential alarm system. She swung her left leg over her right and situated herself on the bumper as if it was something that you could actually get comfortable on.
Her callous gaze wandered and so did her mind.

Begrudgingly, Wolfram agreed to Jenna suggestion of waiting for River and Misty. Hesitantly, he looked over at Bleddyn, who had somehow maneuvered herself into a sitting position on the bumper of Jenna's van. He opened his mouth, about to question her absurd choice of a seat, before snapping it shut, deciding better of it. Anxiously, he scanned the road, half a eye on Bleddyn. Against his better judgement, he turned to face her. "Your leg, how...how is it?"
(did yall miss this?)
Misty shifted into wolf form and hopped in the car next to her children, sword in maw

Wolfram's eyes narrowed even more, if possible. "Lachlan's a wolf to. So is River. Yet we get along just fine," he retorted, "I think he just doesn't like me. I mean....makes sense though."
"But you dont get along with me," Misty retorted, pinning her ears flat against her skull and placed her head on her paws. She curled her body protectively around Zion and Delilah like a nursing mother with her first litter, who knew that if she didnt take care of them correctly they would die. Misty let escape a deep and long growl sigh and closed her eyes, but was still alert.

(Isn't she in Indigo's van with River?)

(We're waiting for Indigo to drive them there when Amer gets on, or River, Misty, Delilah, and Zion could rebel and run there instead XD)

"I don't think it's so bad," Bleddyn ventured slowly, but she did have to wince at her sketchy nonchalance. "I mean, it's not like our lives weren't in the balance, either. Kill or be killed." A frustrated frown contorted her face as she realized the violent contrasts between her easy words and her turbulent thoughts. Yeah, I'm just as messed up from this as he is.
"And I'd be lying to say I don't feel downright weird after that." She found herself vaguely satisfied with getting that truth out. Honestly...what even do I feel... "And for you feeling differently? Dude. One was someone who was out there to kill our whole kind and legit bore zero relevance to your life. The other? Despite him having all the same qualities as the next Pure brute, he was still your father. That's a huge difference right there."
