«We Could Be Legends»

Toby was faintly aware of someone coming up next to him. All he caught were the words 'No-Name', so he assumed it must be Indigo. He looked up. His eyes lacked their normal rainbow sheen, and his skin was ghostly pale. "What... happened?" He asked quietly, choking back the tears that were threatening to start again. He turned and watched as the flames grew closer towards them, showing no signs of moving.
"It's No-Name," Indigo said fearfully. Her pale face was coated in dust, and obscured by the ragged curls falling into it. Tears blazed white trails across the mire, and she gasped. "I don't want to face her if its No-Name."

On her way over to the gun she'd thrown in bewildered frustration, Bleddyn turned to look at him squarely and titled her head to the side, confused. "Stay here?" She frowned as she tried to figure out what his motivation could possibly be for requesting her not to follow. There were a million obvious reasons for her to return with them both, but she couldn't think of anything that would need to keep her, useless, in this isolated glade. "Whatever for?"
Oh, I don't know. I don't want you to get murdered is one reason.
"It's not safe. It never was safe in the first place. But even more so now." Wolfram shuddered as screech of agony ripped through the air, and he wondered who it might have been. Taylor, Lily, Ash, Jessi, any of them. See my point now, Bleddyn?
"Both of you. You have to stay here. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you. Any of you. It's not fair that you might get hurt even more, or worse, when this isn't even your fight to start with."

"A-are you sure?" Toby asked softly, looking up at her with concern. "Someone... someone else can go up against her. You shouldn't have to fight with your own.. your own..." he trailed off, unable to finish his sentence and looked down at Jenna. You shouldn't have to fight your own mother.

Indigo nodded with a sob. "That's not it though. I would love to be the person to kill her."
I'm just afraid of her.

"O-oh." Toby mumbled. He understood why Indigo would want to kill No-Name, but that didn't make it any less scary remembering that Indigo was very capable of killing people, and there were multiple occasions where she could have easily killed him.

"Not gonna happen, Wolfram. I'm not staying here." River growled, stalking up to them. "Of any of us, I've probably been in the most fights, and my sons and nieces are there. This is our fight, just as much as it is your's. That woman murdered my brother and his wife, orphaning my nieces, and is threatening pretty much everyone I know and love." She clenched her jaws, her ears flicking back and forth in nervousness. "I don't care what you say, I'm never leaving them to her."

"Two words for you, Dogsheep." Bleddyn raised a two-fingered fist for emphasis. "Number one, no. Number two, way." With that, she spun around and began the march back through the aggressive undergrowth.

Ash was absolutely frantic. She felt far too great a responsibility for all these kids to even consider sheltering in a vehicle now. "Mikki, who are we missing?" she demanded as furious devastation roared around them. Seeing Peter materialize beside Mikki gave her a second's sense of relief. But that second's worth alone. Then she was once again swamped with the immensity of every imperiled life.
No matter what, she had to see every single one of her nieces and nephews home safely.
Alice- still asleep in a van. Camilla, Lachlan, Finlay- here, but where?
Toby, Jessi-
--Ash glanced up at the darkened sky and the pink wyvern that occupied it--- there she is and he's somewhere down here.
Bleddyn, Wolfram....somewhere far from the reaches of that horrid blaze
. Please.
Sherri- out there...
Peter, here, and...

"Peter, your sister." Ash knelt down next to the frazzled boy, reaching for his arm with bandaged, dead fingers. "Where did you last see her?"

“I’m not sure! I see almost everyone that I know, but a also haven’t ever seen many of them.” Mikki shouted from above, her gaze searching the scorched ground.

Wolfram didn't move. He just stared after Bleddyn. "I tried to stop you guys. If you die, the blame is on yourselves, and not me." His gaze lingered on River for a moment, wishing she would stay. "Please be careful, River."
With a soft sigh, he slipped into the undergrowth after Bleddyn. Somehow the thorns were sharper now. The branches and vines more offending. Quickly, he struggled through the wood, until he staggered into the clearing. What he saw was utter chaos.
The Pure were fighting twice as hard now, and there seemed to be twice as many of them. Mapleshade stood in the center of the pavement, a fairly large ring of blue-gray-black flame surrounding her, and another man. This man towered over Mapleshade, and Wolfram realized that the man was the one creating the fire. Then adrenaline kicked back into his veins. She killed Tayn, Thomas, and Mom and so many more...
With a snarl of fury, Wolfram pelted forward, and ran straight into the flame.
