«We Could Be Legends»

“Oh God.” It came out as a whisper, and she buried her face in her hands. No tears would come, however, and she felt even more terrible about that. I guess I’m still in shock or something.
"I'll be back," Wolfram murmured as he passed River, morphing into his cat form as he did. He nearly grinned at how effortless it was now.
Nearly.
He glanced up at Brisa, and wished he had something to say, but he didn't. So, flattening he ears, he merely headbutted her leg as gently as possible as he passed her. But he didn't stay, instead he dashed into the shadows, in search of Bleddyn.
Sorry, Brisa.

(Ah, dang, I forgot XD)

"Uh-" Grace looked at her feet sheepishly. How could I forget that? Maybe I just couldn't see straight. I still can't see straight. She put her hand to her shoulder, wincing as she touched it. This shoulder's gonna really start hurting soon.. "Uh, yea, sure," she mumbled.
The man who was busy anyway hadn't even looked up from what he was doing.

"Ok." Alice handed the marble sized ball to Grace. "Maybe that'll work?" She said shrugging. "But then again, I healed Brisa, actually Peter too, before the fairy girl gave that to me. So, who knows."

Alice went over to Peter and knelt on the ground beside him. "You just need him to wake up? Or do you want me to try to make him opaque again?" She wasn't sure that was even something she could do, but she was willing to give it a try.

"Well, I mean, you couldn't do that before.. so maybe it's hopeless.." she trailed off. "He just needs.. energy. I dunno." She fidgeted with her burnt jacket sleeve.

Jessi raised her wing once Frosty was on. ‘I can’t speak chickenese,’ she said, even though no one asked.
She walked towards the cars, careful not to knock off Frosty. Once they arrived, Jessi lowered her wing and pointed a claw to a few people crouched by a van. ‘There’s Peter and Grace. Wait a sec, what’s happening to Peter?’ She asked, shooting a worried glance at Crow.
She then realized Toby was no where to be seen. Oh no. She thought, looking around. Her eyes stopped on River, and Jessi quickly moved towards her. ‘Where’s my brother?’ Jessi asked. By the worried expression she had on her wyvern features, it was obvious what she was asking.
"Not many can. I just know some basic words and phrases." He admitted. "You know, from my time as a crow."

Frosty flew off her wing, limping in a dignified sort of way towards some others of the Multitude.

Jessi looked away from River and towards Crow. “Still, it’s impressive,” she said, giving him a small smile.
Her eyes followed Frosty as he limped towards a group of people. Poor bird. She thought, turning her attention back to River.

Jessi hesitated, looking back towards the van. “Normally I wouldn’t tell people, but you’re kind of stuck in the middle of this...” she trailed off, looking back at River. “Mom and dad have probably mentioned some of his issues, right? What all have they told you?”

"Not much, Jenna called me about it once, but she didn't really give any specifics. Just that he had bad anxiety, some sort of depression, and that he saw people that weren't there, but that was a long time ago. I knew some shadow benders had these sort of troubles, though. The more they used their powers, the more often they were controlled by them." River said, trying to remember every detail she had ever picked up about shadow benders. "How often does this happen?"

Jessi looked around. The only people currently in earshot were Indigo and Crow. They’re both mature enough to act professionally if they hear. Or at least I hope they are.
Jessi nodded slightly. “Close, but not quite. Toby suffers from schizoaffective. It’s schizophrenia and a mood disorder, in his case bipolar.” She paused, listening to River speak. “That depends. When he’s on medication and stays away from triggers he can go months without any kind of episode. But it’s difficult, because sometimes there’s no obvious triggers.” She looked at the car absentmindedly. “I would really appreciate it if you would try to keep this between us. It’s not something Toby likes people knowing.”

"Of course," Crow said. He remembered there being an inhuman with a similar shadow-bending power on the original group of heroes. He wasn't sure what had happened to her, since she had just disappeared one day.
"Is there, uh, anything we can do to help...?"

Jessi looked at Crow, shaking her head. “Don’t act differently around him. It’s not something he can control, and that really stresses him out. The only thing anyone can really do is just... try to be patient with him.” Jessi said.

"No, I mean, right now." Crow said, gesturing to the van. "Isn't something happening right now?"
