«We Could Be Legends»

"Does everything have to be about your prettiness? Don't get me wrong, you are hot, but that doesn't mean everything is about your appearance." Toby snapped at Indigo. He didn't know what he was saying, the blood loss was making his brain fuzzy. As they went up the stairs, Toby had one hand on Bleddyn's arm, and the other one on the wall.
Indigo laughed. He was so delirious he didn't understand sarcasm.
She screamed as they took Bleddyn. She wished Mapleshade would let go. Then she could taze her.

His foot slipped from under him, panic flashing through his chest. Slamming a hand against the cold, hard, metal wall to stop himself from falling, his eyes drifted back to Mapleshade. Mistaken her for your ex....GIVE ME THE KEY!......Crush on Bleddyn....NO! I can't fall...Stay awake, stay awake. Forcing himself to stand right to face Mapleshade, and the injured Bleddyn, still trapped in the older woman's unforgiving grasp."Give her back...I'm begging you, Mapleshade."Wolfram whispered, his voice horse in a pleading murmur. Blood dripped to the ground, a sickening feeling in his stomach. Am I dying? I'm to young to die...Not after everything...not after this...I need to stay alive, for Mom, for...For Lachlan and Bleddyn. I don't want to die, not now. He looked at Mapleshade."Please..."He whispered again.

Mapleshade stared at him with a strange curiosity. How much was he actually willing to give to save her? I'm curious now, Really. She had known Wolfram since the day he was born, and even as a small child, she never once saw the raven black haired cat boy plead. Not like that anyway. Was it because he was injured? She peered closer, never once letting her grasp on the blonde haired teenager loosen. His eyes had lost that fiery temper, the will to fight, instead it was just desperation. His plead echoed in her ears once again, and she almost, almost let the girl go. No, Mapleshade. He's Silver's son, don't fall into his trap. "Tell me what I want to know. And really, how much are you willing to give up for this child? Your pleading is pathetic."

His chest tightened again when Mapleshade spoke. I don't know what the key is...Someone, help me... His feet slipped from under him, and this time he gave way, falling painfully to his knee's. He put a hand on the ground to steady himself, looking up toward's Mapleshade and Bleddyn."I don't know what or where this 'key' is... You have to believe me...Please just give me Bleddyn back."
Lachlan glanced around between Wolfram, Bleddyn, and Mapleshade, feeling utterly useless and pathetic in this situation. Bleddyn was like his sister, and he froze up when seeing that knife at her throat, Mapleshade ready to kill her in a split second. "He's not lying. He doesn't have any key, please, let her go." He croaked, then swallowed hard when he realized he had actually spoke.

Toby glanced at Indigo. "Why are you laughing at me?" He asked, confused. He flinched when she screamed into his ear. He still had the gun pointed at Mapleshade's head, but his hands felt like they were about to fall of.

"You.. you mean freshmen? Yeah. I mean, I am." Peter said quickly. He probably had seen her at some point, but as far as he knew she wasn't in one of his classes.

"Yeah. My parents- Peter?" Grace twisted around to stare at him.
"What?" Peter looked up. "I'm.. I'm fine." He felt his face flush with embarrassment. Did she really have to point that out?
"Yeah. Hm, thought so. I am too. You're Sammy and Crow's kid?" Camilla said, then looked awkward. "Sorry, I'm talking your ear off."

Wolfram hunched over, his back heaving as he held back a sob. Sleep was just a blink away...it was so close, a cavern of darkness, waiting for him to fall into it. He wanted to...But he had to stay away. He was thankful when Lachlan spoke, his own throat dry and painful when he spoke.

Lachlan glanced at Wolfram, worried about him, then looked defiantly at Mapleshade. "He doesn't have a key, and threatening Bleddyn ain't gonna get it for you. He doesn't even know what it is, none of us do. Please, let her go."

A grin of menace and almost, disturbingly, joy crossed the female's face. She tightened her grip on Bleddyn, jerking the girl even closer to her, the knife inches from Bleddyn's throat."I will get what I want, if I have to stay here all day. If Wolfram care's enough about her, I'll get what I need.
Isn't that right Wolfram? It would be awful sad if I killed her, wouldn't it? You would feel so guilty, knowing it would be your fault. Another death, caused by you. Your mother's death was your fault, you know. Everyone that you go near dies. You are evil, you are a trap, Wolfram. Maybe I should kill you instead."

A almost choking sob came from Wolfram's, his shoulder's trembling. How come every word pierced him like a knife."I have nothing..."He choked.

"No one loves you. No one ever will. Not River, Not Lachlan, Not Bleddyn, Not even your parents. Not Lily. I wasn't suprised she left you. Why would she want to be with you? You're nothing but a curse. Now Bleddyn will die and it'll be your fault."

"You'll never have dictation over who I'll see as my friend or who my mother and Bleddyn will love. He is my friend, my mother accepts him and sees that he is a lot like our family." Lachlan snarled, clenching his fists. Fool, Lachlan! Don't make her even madder, she'll kill Bleddyn! "Tell us what the key is. We don't even know what this key you want is."

"Liars!" Mapleshade spat, lashing her tail."You know very well where the key is, you're just saying that to protect precious Silver's wish!"She hissed."Well guess what? Silver is dead so you can give it up now!"

Wolfram's vision blurred again, the concrete floor now swimming with black streaks. Silver is dead. Those words cut deeper and harder then they should have. How could someone know how to break him in every right way? Sleep started screaming at him again, struggling to come up with a plan in his head, but it was hard, considering his skull had been brutally smashed into a metal wall multiple times.

"Liars? I don't know Silver, but I know she wouldn't hand off something that would stick her only son in this situation, my mother has told me enough about her to know that!" Lachlan growled, growing bold and annoyed, fearful too.
