«We Could Be Legends»

"Liars? I don't know Silver, but I know she wouldn't hand off something that would stick her only son in this situation, my mother has told me enough about her to know that!" Lachlan growled, growing bold and annoyed, fearful too.
(Sorry GTG)
"My mother was a loyal person. What did she ever do to you? She never abandoned anyone. She was a human, yet she had so many Inhuman friends, and me. She accepted everyone for who they where, and never turned away anyone. She never hurt anyone if she could help it. All she wanted was to bring peace to this violent world." Wolfram whispered, his voice shaking. He leaned back to look at Mapleshade, this glitter in his eyes becoming more and more desprate.

"Loyal?!"Mapleshade shrieked."She stole the person I loved! She destroyed my life! Everyone loved HER because she was oh so pretty and sweet, and yet I?....I got NOTHING! I got thrown away and got the person I loved stolen. I should've had a child, not your pathetic mother!"

Wolfram's eyes flashed with fury."For your information, Mapleshade, My mother never loved Michael. You had more then enough chances to get to him. You're just to WEAK!"

"Oh but you're wrong. I will rise like I already have, and I will do anything in my power to hurt you, even if it means killing you for good. I can start with killing the stupid girl you've fallen for all to quickly."

Jessi felt her phone buzz. She pulled it out of her pocket and handed it to Camilla. "Hey, you mind seeing who this is? Someone keeps texting and calling me, I want to make sure it's not important." She asked. There was three unread messages, and two missed phone calls, all from Charlie. The messages read:
Is Toby with you? He's not answering my calls.

Jessi? Are you guys okay? Do you need me to call your mom?

Jessi, please answer your phone. I'm worried.

Camilla took it, and gave a nod. She swiped the messages open. "Sure... There's two missed calls from a dude named Charlie, and all three texts are from him too. They say: 'Is Toby with you? He's not answering my calls. Jessi? Are you guys okay? Do you need me to call your mom? Jessi, please answer your phone, I'm worried.'"

Jessi frowned. "That's weird, he never calls me. Can you call him for me? You can put it on speaker." Jessi asked.

Camilla nodded. "Yeah, sure." She flicked over to numbers, bringing him up and pressing call, quickly turning on speaker. "There."

"Thanks." Jessi said. "Hey, Charlie, what's going on?"
"Hi Jessi, is Toby with you? I've been trying to call him for the past hour. Where are you?" Charlie asked.
"I'm hanging out with some friends. No, Toby isn't with me. Last time I checked he was meeting up with some of dad's old friends."
"Okay, I'm just worried. He always answers his phone. If he calls you, let me know, okay?"
"Okay, talk to you later." Charlie hung up. Jessi glanced at Camilla. "That was weird." Jessi said. "It looks like we're here. I need to find a place to park. Keep an eye out for empty parking places, please."

"We wouldn't want you dead just yet."A silky soft hiss whispered in Bleddyn's ear, in moments someone forcefully grabbed the teenagers wrists, forcing them behind her back. Holding Bleddyn's wrists in one hand, Mapleshade snapped open a knife, holding it at Bleddyn's throat."That is, Not until now."

Wolfram struggled to stay upright, gasping for a breath, each gasp of air felt like thorn's stabbing him. He blinked rabidly to rid of sleep, even though his body pleaded to allow him to fall into the depths of complete darkness. Only dimly away of the blood running down his face and arm, he blinked away darkness, looking up. What he saw through, horrified him. Mapleshade behind Bleddyn, one arm hooked around Bleddyn's throat, holding a glittering, freshly sharpened knife, the older female's eyes glittering with a murderious glare of hatred."Stop, You let her go."He snarled, trying to sound as menacing as possible as he forced himself upright and forward.

A low chuckle echoed in Mapleshade's throat."Oh, Kittyboy. You never give up, do you? Are you so weak you mistake your pretty crush for your lying ex?"She hissed, her voice calm as ever."You're in no shape to stop me, I should just kill her right on the spot, really. But actually, I can get what I want with her."

"Give me the key.
And admit you have a crush on her, you pathetic fool."

Toby turned around when Bleddyn's arm was pulled out of his hands. He saw Mapleshade, and raised his gun, pointing it at her head. "Let her go." He said with as much strength as he could muster. Within five more minutes of bleeding he knew he was probably going to pass out. Toby glared at Mapleshade. "What's so important about a key that you will kidnap people for it? Ever heard of a locksmith?" He asked. Somewhere in the back of his mind he could feel a dark energy swirling around, begging to be released. He didn't let it out, but he also didn't try to lock it away. It could be useful if she tried to attack.

"Child, you pull that trigger, she also dies."Mapleshade growled, tightening her grip on Bleddyn.

"D-don't do it...Dont do it, Toby!"Wolfram hissed, struggling to stay standing. His head fel like someone was repeatedly hitting him over the skull. He wanted Mapleshade dead but...Mapleshade stuck to her word. If she died, she would do anything in her last moments to make sure Bleddyn was killed as well.

"You kill any of my friends and I will shoot you. Let her go. Now." Toby said. He didn't take his eyes off of Mapleshade.

Mapleshade inched the knife closer and closer to Bleddyn's throat."Give me the answers."She hissed to Wolfram.

"Put the knife down!" Toby yelled at her. How Bleddyn seemed so calm through all this, Toby had no idea.

"Keep your mouth SHUT!"She snarled.

Toby glared at her, but didn't speak. He didn't want to anger her anymore than she was, since people do stupid things when they are angry, and he didn't want Bleddyn's death to be because he wouldn't shut up.

His foot slipped from under him, panic flashing through his chest. Slamming a hand against the cold, hard, metal wall to stop himself from falling, his eyes drifted back to Mapleshade. Mistaken her for your ex....GIVE ME THE KEY!......Crush on Bleddyn....NO! I can't fall...Stay awake, stay awake. Forcing himself to stand right to face Mapleshade, and the injured Bleddyn, still trapped in the older woman's unforgiving grasp."Give her back...I'm begging you, Mapleshade."Wolfram whispered, his voice horse in a pleading murmur. Blood dripped to the ground, a sickening feeling in his stomach. Am I dying? I'm to young to die...Not after everything...not after this...I need to stay alive, for Mom, for...For Lachlan and Bleddyn. I don't want to die, not now. He looked at Mapleshade."Please..."He whispered again.

Mapleshade stared at him with a strange curiosity. How much was he actually willing to give to save her? I'm curious now, Really. She had known Wolfram since the day he was born, and even as a small child, she never once saw the raven black haired cat boy plead. Not like that anyway. Was it because he was injured? She peered closer, never once letting her grasp on the blonde haired teenager loosen. His eyes had lost that fiery temper, the will to fight, instead it was just desperation. His plead echoed in her ears once again, and she almost, almost let the girl go. No, Mapleshade. He's Silver's son, don't fall into his trap. "Tell me what I want to know. And really, how much are you willing to give up for this child? Your pleading is pathetic."

His chest tightened again when Mapleshade spoke. I don't know what the key is...Someone, help me... His feet slipped from under him, and this time he gave way, falling painfully to his knee's. He put a hand on the ground to steady himself, looking up toward's Mapleshade and Bleddyn."I don't know what or where this 'key' is... You have to believe me...Please just give me Bleddyn back."

Indigo laughed. He was so delirious he didn't understand sarcasm.
She screamed as they took Bleddyn. She wished Mapleshade would let go. Then she could taze her.

Lachlan glanced around between Wolfram, Bleddyn, and Mapleshade, feeling utterly useless and pathetic in this situation. Bleddyn was like his sister, and he froze up when seeing that knife at her throat, Mapleshade ready to kill her in a split second. "He's not lying. He doesn't have any key, please, let her go." He croaked, then swallowed hard when he realized he had actually spoke.

Toby glanced at Indigo. "Why are you laughing at me?" He asked, confused. He flinched when she screamed into his ear. He still had the gun pointed at Mapleshade's head, but his hands felt like they were about to fall of.

Wolfram hunched over, his back heaving as he held back a sob. Sleep was just a blink away...it was so close, a cavern of darkness, waiting for him to fall into it. He wanted to...But he had to stay away. He was thankful when Lachlan spoke, his own throat dry and painful when he spoke.

Lachlan glanced at Wolfram, worried about him, then looked defiantly at Mapleshade. "He doesn't have a key, and threatening Bleddyn ain't gonna get it for you. He doesn't even know what it is, none of us do. Please, let her go."

A grin of menace and almost, disturbingly, joy crossed the female's face. She tightened her grip on Bleddyn, jerking the girl even closer to her, the knife inches from Bleddyn's throat."I will get what I want, if I have to stay here all day. If Wolfram care's enough about her, I'll get what I need.
Isn't that right Wolfram? It would be awful sad if I killed her, wouldn't it? You would feel so guilty, knowing it would be your fault. Another death, caused by you. Your mother's death was your fault, you know. Everyone that you go near dies. You are evil, you are a trap, Wolfram. Maybe I should kill you instead."

A almost choking sob came from Wolfram's, his shoulder's trembling. How come every word pierced him like a knife."I have nothing..."He choked.

"No one loves you. No one ever will. Not River, Not Lachlan, Not Bleddyn, Not even your parents. Not Lily. I wasn't suprised she left you. Why would she want to be with you? You're nothing but a curse. Now Bleddyn will die and it'll be your fault."

"You'll never have dictation over who I'll see as my friend or who my mother and Bleddyn will love. He is my friend, my mother accepts him and sees that he is a lot like our family." Lachlan snarled, clenching his fists. Fool, Lachlan! Don't make her even madder, she'll kill Bleddyn! "Tell us what the key is. We don't even know what this key you want is."

"Liars!" Mapleshade spat, lashing her tail."You know very well where the key is, you're just saying that to protect precious Silver's wish!"She hissed."Well guess what? Silver is dead so you can give it up now!"

Wolfram's vision blurred again, the concrete floor now swimming with black streaks. Silver is dead. Those words cut deeper and harder then they should have. How could someone know how to break him in every right way? Sleep started screaming at him again, struggling to come up with a plan in his head, but it was hard, considering his skull had been brutally smashed into a metal wall multiple times.

"Liars? I don't know Silver, but I know she wouldn't hand off something that would stick her only son in this situation, my mother has told me enough about her to know that!" Lachlan growled, growing bold and annoyed, fearful too.

Bleddyn was trembling beneath her skin in rage. Her wounded, worn friends blurred before her as she fought against the curtains of simmering fury that were threatening to close her out from sanity. The deadly blade at her throat had no subductive effect on her- no, she wasn't about to calm to complacency in the face of death. She'd warred with it all before and she'd come out on top. Her hands itched to be free of Mapleshade's cold grasp, but the deranged furry had Bleddyn by the most vulnerable part of her wrists. She knows what she's doing, Bleddyn mentally granted her, sick with loathing. But to use it on me?
How dare she. How dare she. HOW DARE SHE.

"What a coward," she interjected angerly into their emotionally loaded exchange. "You had to sneak up behind me to get me like this. You couldn't even face me." Her face reddened to a new furious shade every time Mapleshade tightened her vice grip. She couldn't see her captor's face and she was sure that was to Mapleshade's advantage. If I was facing you, you'd have no face left to speak of. "What the heck is your problem, lady? What do you care about a teenage boy's romantic interests? Some sort of pedophile or what?!"
Even in her furor-befogged state, it was obvious to Bleddyn that Wolfram wasn't about to oblige Mapleshade's crazed demands- and he probably couldn't have, even if he'd wanted to. The damage she'd inflicted on his head was steadily hacking away at his persistence to remain conscious.
"It seems like you can't let go of something that's long irreversible. Kill me if you want, but you won't get anything from him. We mean nothing to each other."

Mapleshade let out a soft chuckle, her grip on Bleddyn's wrist's becoming tighter."I only want to get what I want. It isn't that complex, really. You just have to know the person you're trying to get information from. Lucky for me, I was watching the fight in the park, and I saw Wolfram's reaction to you getting injured." She hissed, digging her claw like nails into Bleddyn's skin."Think that if you want, but if you knew what Wolfram was thinking you would be surprised." She looked down to Wolfram, who was struggling to stay conscious."If you don't give me the key in...five minute's, I will kill her."

Wolfram whimpered softly, sleep clawing at his mind, trying to drag him under. I need a plan, I need a plan...I need a plan. "If you're so keen on hurting me, why don't you just kill me?" He hissed, clenching his teeth to stop the feeling of being hit in the skull repeatedly."At least it'd end my suffering."

"That would be easy, wouldn't it? To easy."Mapleshade growled."And then I wouldn't get the key."

"Fine!"Wolfram summoned his remaining strength to force himself to his feet, leaning against the wall."If you want the key so bad, then I'll give it to you." Thank you my half conscious brain for given me the only plan I could think of. He could see the grin cross Mapleshade's face, her eye's never leaving him for a second."It's in mom's apartment, Ok? It's in the old cabinet in the basement."

A satisfactory smirk crossed Mapleshade's face, her cackle of triumph echoing painfully in the small area."Finally! See what happen's when you break him enough?"She hissed. She pulled her hand away from Bleddyn's throat, and shoved her as hard as possible in Wolfram's direction."If you have lied to me, you'll regret it."

"That's not a good enough excuse. You just have a weird personality. Schizophrenia and bipolar on the other hand, that can get you in." Toby said. He stood up and leaned against the wall for support. "We need to go. Now." He held is gun out and shot another person. He stumbled towards him and grabbed his gun. His hands were shaking from the amount of blood he lost. He felt dizzy and his vision was blurred. "Guys come-" he tried to yell at the others, but he started coughing. "Guys come on." He said quieter than he would've liked. He nudged Zion. "Help me get the others, we need to go."

"Oh? It's not a good enough excuse?" Misty lowered her voice and coldly into Toby's eyes, "then I guess being psychopathic which I'll say is a literal mental disorder, and a ruthless murderer isn't a good enough excuse either?" She asked. Memories danced around in her mind from the past, the time when she was 17. Every single person she killed haunted her. The look of terror, hatred, courage, all of it. She knew they wouldn't win, but they thought they had a chance against her. Well, they didn't, and now she has to live with the face of every single person she killed in her mind. But because she killed all those people, she saved so many hundreds of thousands from being killed.
Words echoed in her mind from her former best friend Grant
"Misty, sometimes, you have to make things worse to make them better, y'know?"
(I have no freaking clue where I am going with this but screw it)
Zion looked at Toby but ignored him and turned to his mom.

"Lachlan! Misty!" River growled. "We need to get out of here."
Lachlan's ears pricked at his mother's voice, and he raced to her side.
River glanced at Toby, and caught sight of a guard sneaking up on him, a knife clutched in her hand. River and Lachlan jumped at her, taking her down and ending her quickly.
Misty growled at Rivers call and ran over to Zion and Delilah. She gently picked up her daughter and held her in her arms. "Zion go help Lachlan Blenddyn and Wolfram, you were with them. Now go be with them, I can take care of your sister."

Zion shyly nodded and turned to run over to them but a hand on his shoulder stopped him. He turned back and saw his mother staring softly into his eyes, "Zion be courageous," she murmured. Then placed a kiss on his forehead, turned him around and shoved him towards Lachlan and the others.

Bleddyn snorted wryly and turned away from him, far too distracted to focus in on his wound. "If we're being official about it, you saved me first. And also, we're not, because life-debt wise, I've incurred way too much." Her heart was roaring as it maniacally pumped adrenaline and she wasn't about to let him see how carelessly she'd let her composure flee.

So she had killed someone.
The experience was much less jarring than she'd previously envisioned.
While living the slightly psychotic daydreams of heroic grandeur that kids often entertained their sedentary minds with
-or maybe that was just her-
yeah, she'd seen herself efficiently dropping a few baddies to save the day for allies in peril. But each time there'd been a certain level of remorseful conviction involved.
Now, watching this member of a loathsome society lay still in a pool of the lifeblood she'd ripped from him, all Bleddyn was suffering was a simplistic feeling of emptiness. It was comparable to losing all emotions of hers by human right out the hole Mapleshade's knife had torn in her thigh.
If anything at all, she felt vaguely satisfied, and, honestly, disturbingly enthralled.
Additionally, she'd only ever killed in her mind to protect those who actually meant something to her.
Never had she ever imagined her first felled would be to keep a personal enemy's life intact.
Eh. Morals evolve.

Bleddyn whipped around, dragged harshly out of her ethicality contemplations and on instinctual defense in lieu of actually being aware of her specific attacker. Gripped between white knuckles, the knife was low poised before her, capable of fatally accurate chest penetration for the shorter man.
Even after more than enough time had elapsed for her to recognize Toby, she continued to stand there silently with frighteningly blank eyes- as if waiting for him to make the first attack.
Toby flinched backwards, throwing his hands in front of his face. "Easyeasyeasy, don't stab me." Toby winced. The sudden movement made him feel like he re-opened his wound, and he moved a hand down to touch it. "Come on. Everyone needs to leave." Toby said, still holding one hand in front of his face.
"Don't get smart with me."Wolfram snapped. He looked at Toby."You look like a deer caught in the headlights. If we are going, then move it."He growled. He took a step towards Bleddyn. Dont impale me, I've already been stabbed once. I only have so much strength left to carry you. His thoughts wandered for a heartbeat, but then snapped to the present."You're going to have to help hold yourself up some, Bleddyn. And for goodness sake put the knife down."
Toby turned, and quickly walked away. He didn't want to wait any longer around Wolfram, since he seemed unpredictable. He stopped by the door and started attacking anyone who entered, while he waited for the others to catch up. He pulled out his ring of keys and moved them in between his fingers. He punched people, each time the keys would slash their faces. I wonder how long it will take before the ice melts, if it does. Toby thought, being reminded of the cold feeling in his stomach. He was worried he was going to accidentally pull the stitches out, or tear the skin around them and make his wound worse.
Bleddyn blinked a few times to clear the mental haze she'd been locked in. Even though the fear glittering in Toby's eyes and Wolfram's old anxiety-induced abrasiveness communicated that she'd startled them with her hasty aim, she didn't feel a need to apologize. Their fault for approaching me like that.
"You know what? I can do you one better. I can walk for myself."
With that contumacious declaration and knife still in hand, she pivoted on her right leg and limped through the pathway Toby was clearing with his armed fist.

Toby glanced behind him, and saw Bleddyn following him. In the brief moment he looked away someone took that moment to punch him in the face. Toby stumbled backwards and growled. He punched the woman back and kicked her into the wall, where he quickly killed her. He used her body as a shield as someone tried to shoot him, and then threw her into the nearest person attacking him. A sudden wave of dizziness crashed over him. Again? He thought. He leaned against the wall & started kicking at people by him.

Wolfram stared at her while she walked away."Fine!"He snarled."I'll just act like I don't care anymore, because for a fact, Bleddyn? I don't anymore!" But I do....Why can't she see that...I'm trying to help, but I was such a jerk before.....

"The feeling's always been mutual!" she fired over her shoulder. God knows I've never been so pleased to have someone pissed with me.
Stumbling forward was getting progressively harder. Their exit was unobstructed enough, but Toby seemed to be a sweet attractant to swarming guards. Bleddyn swung a brutal punch at a woman that he'd swiftly disarmed, but quickly found that throwing her own balance off like that was too likely to trip her onto the floor. She started forward again, studying how Toby's face kept crumpling in anguish with every new expenditure of energy. Shoot, there's something really wrong with him.
She flung herself off her heel, praying that she wouldn't end up on her face. Instead, she landed where she'd planned and rammed herself against the target assailant's side, freeing up Toby somewhat. If this one has a lethal, I'm quite dead. "Go, get out of here!"

"Maybe if you stopped for half a heartbeat, you would see I actually really care about you."Wolfram snarled, suddenly beside her. He grabbed a knife that had fallen, stabbing another on coming guard in the chest."Stay away from my friends!"He snarled, lurching forward to throw the dead guard off.

"Ugh, you disgust me, Wolfram. How many girl's do you think you've gotta impress?"Mapleshade cooed, grabbing the back off his shirt."It's quite pathetic, really. I mean, Lily was quite the fail, wasn't she? Give up on loving someone, sweetheart. Beside, she's just a human."

Wolfram trembled, gritting his teeth."Why should I care if she's just a human? She's got strength, or do you doubt that?"He hissed.

"Tell me."Mapleshade snarled, jerking him back towards her."Do you like her? Not just as a person, but do you have feelings for her, just like you did that pathetic Lily girl?"

His shoulders trembled underneath her ruthless grasp. He should have foughten back, stabbed her with the knife still clenched in his weakening fist maybe. But instead her just stood there, his breath hitching in his throat.
"Well? Speak, Child!"She snarled in his ear, baring her fang like teeth.
"I will not bow and I will not break to you."He hissed softly, his teeth clenched together tightly. His eyes stung at the mention of Lily. You know the best ways to break me. It's unfair.
"Really? Are you sure about that?"Her silky soft whisper echoed in his ear, dripping with a deadly poison."I know the best way's to break you, Wolfram. Are you sure you won't answer?"
Wolfram's fist clenched tighter, his knuckles solid white, one hand clenched tightly around the knife still."I will not break to you."
Mapleshade jerked him back, holding his back to her chest."I think you made a wrong mistake."She growled softly."I know you love her. I know in some sick, twisted way, deep down, you love her. It's pathetic, really. What do you find attractive about her? She's ugly and has a nasty temper, like a cat. Oh wait, that's perfect. Because that's what you are."
His throat tightened, his hands trembling."If you want to hate someone so much, why don't you look in the mirror?"
A low chuckle echoed in Mapleshade's throat, Echoing in his ear disturbingly."Fiesty temper."She purred."Really though, what is so attractive about her? She hates your guts, why would you like such a horrid creature?"
He lifted his foot, and slammed his heel against her legs. He spun around, slamming her against the wall. His hand shook as he held the knife above her throat."Say it again!"He all but shrieked, staring at her with enraged blue eyes."Say that she's ugly and horrid again, I dare you!"
"So protective, dear. Do you, oh, shall I say, love her?" Her long, skinny fingers traced his cheek, her nails like claws. Her nails traced the scratches on his cheek, a sly smirk creeping across her face.
His breath came in gasps of rage as he stared at her. He didn't speak, only tried to steady his violently shaking hand, the knife trembling over her throat.
"Do it, revenge your mothers death. I dare you. But know if you do, I will find a way to kill Bleddyn."
Wolfram suddenly grabbed her, slamming her onto the ground. He stood over her, holding the knife out over her throat."You will never touch her!"He snarled."I would kill myself three times over before I let anyone lay a finger on her if I could help it!"
Mapleshade let out a grunt of pain as she hit the floor, staring up at him with narrowed green eyes. She reached toward his trembling arm, sitting up slightly. She ran her hand over the scars on his pale skin."But you tried that before, and didn't get to far, now did you?"She tilted her head, looking at him with a dark look glittering in her emerald eyes."You hate yourself so much you would kill yourself to save her?"
His skin crawled as she touched his arm, running her fingers over the scars that brought back so many memories. His voice shuddered, trembling as he spoke.
"Yes. I would. Because I care and I'm loyal to people I care about, unlike you!"
His eyes stung with tears as he slammed her back to the ground, the knife trembling.
"Don't think I don't understand loyalty because I have no one left to be loyal to.
I was loyal to your mother. Look how far that got me. She betrayed me, because she was weak. She was such a fool she had to betray her closet friend. You're a fool to, you're so weak you crumble anytime I open my mouth."
"You don't know what it's like to be a outsider, Mapleshade, to be ashamed of how you where born!"He snarled.
"Oh but I do. I know how it hurts you. I know how I hurt you."
Wolfram trembled, and suddenly, Mapleshade surged up, throwing her brute strength against him, throwing him against the wall. He felt screeching pain against his head, and before he knew it, he was on the ground, could metal walls against his back, his vision blurring. Seconds later he heard Mapleshade walking away.[/I]

Lachlan snarled, pain burned through him as a knife slit his side, crimson blood splattering his silver pelt. His ears flicked as the sound of Wolfram's angry voice sliced the air, and the deadly purr of some woman replied. Mapleshade. He thought, then a boot collided with his wounded side, and he went sprawling, wincing in pain. He slowly got up, then lept at the man, grabbed his leg and pulled him down, quickly moving and ending the man.
Lachlan turned, trotting over to Wolfram, who was collapsed on the cold concrete floor. He checked over his friend, and yipped softly to get Wolfram's attention.

The soft yip sent a crashing wave of pain through his head. His eyes flickered open, his vision blurry and swimming. He let out a soft groan of pain, becoming very aware of the blood dripping across his head. In the corner of his vision he saw Lachlan, or at least who he thought was Lachlan in wolf skin."Lach?"He groaned softly, even that sending pain waves through his face.
Zion sprinted over to the others, they were all incredibly wounded. It was at times like these where he wished that he had multitasking powers like his mother. He watched them for a moment and decided he had a plan. He shifted into his eagle form and hid behind some walls, his smaller skin would be less noticeable but he still had to be stealthy. He silently flew around the area where the entire battle was going on and landed a few feet behind Mapleshade. If things got worse he would strike. His heart pounded in terror but his mother's words echoed through his mind, "Zion, be courageous," and he decided right then and there that he would be. He was going to do something for one in his life besides hide.
Toby felt a stream of warm liquid come from his stomach. He looked down and he was covered in fresh blood. He could hear the stitches snap, and so could the Pure member he was fighting. Toby looked up at him, and saw the guard get a devious look on his face. Before Toby could react the guard punched him in the stomach, right where he was shot. Toby's stomach erupted in pain & he crumbled to the ground gasping and holding his stomach. The guard proceeded to kick him in the side. Toby's vision went black. He could feel his hands tingling. The guard started backing away slowly. Toby looked up, the room was darker than normal Toby heard the room whisper, or rather the shadows. Let us out. We can help. Shadows started pouring out from the cracks, and grabbed the guard. Toby stood up and stumbled towards the guard. The guard started screaming as Toby grabbed him by the throat, and pushed him against the wall. Toby smiled at him, and cocked his head slightly to the side. "Don't. Mess. With. Me." Toby growled, his voice sounding almost demonic. His hand shot out behind him, shadows tangling around the person who tried to attack him. The shadows dragged the person Toby was holding into the darkness, where he vanished. Toby turned around to the second guard, who was restrained by black tendrils of smoke. Toby walked up to him and grabbed the gun strapped onto his side. He pulled it out and twirled it around. He aimed it against the persons forehead and shot them. Toby looked around. The guards closest to him that witnessed that backed up slowly.

"Uhhhh."Wolfram groaned softly, before attempting to sit up. Instead, dizziness swamped him, and he was sure he would black out. His hand slammed against the wall, forcing himself upright. He put a hand on his forehead, sticky, warm blood coating the side of his head."I don't know...everywhere."He groaned."Just....let me...sleep..."He mumbled, hardly able to stay upright in his knees.

Lachlan shook his head. "Not good. Look, don't you dare fall asleep, got it?" He said, his voice commanding. "We need to get you out of here."

"No...just...let me rest...for a sec..."Wolfram growled."I have...have to get Lily out of her...got to get her back to her house...got to get Lily out."He hissed, pointing at Bleddyn."Got to sleep...get Lily out...help mom..."

Lachlan's eyes widened. Oh please, no. "I'll get Bleddyn out, I promise. And you know what? I'll take you so you can make sure she's safe, and I know there's a nice car you can rest in right out side."

"Don't be a idiot...her name isn't Bleddyn, it's Lily."Wolfram mumbled pushing himself upright again."No no...No rest, gotta get Lily out and make sure mom's safe, ok?"He blinked, suddenly realizing what he was saying. His vision cleared slightly, but the thrumming in his head continued. He swore loudly."Her name is Bleddyn. Crap."He growled."We have to get....get out...I'm going to blackout...I mean...Lach?"He mumbled, falling flat on the ground."Bleddyn?"He whispered, his eyes flickering shut.

Lachlan glanced around, unsure of what to do. "Wolfram?!" He muttered. He carefully and quickly pulled Wolfram's body up, wrapping his arm around his shoulder and standing up. I need to get him out of here. "Mom!" He hissed, but over the sounds of battle, River didn't seem to hear. "Everyone! We need to go, before we lose someone!" He yelled, stumbling with Wolfram towards the way out.

Wolfram let out a soft groan."What about...Get Bleddyn...don't let her get hurt, Make sure she's safe before me...Im begging you."He whimpered, struggling to stay standing, and to regain consciousness.

"I'm getting her right now, okay? Just keep trying to stay awake, Wolf." Lachlan said, stumbling over to Bleddyn. "Bleddyn, it's me, Lachlan. We're getting out of here, now. Come on, let's get out of here." (@HeavensHens88 )

Wolfram leaned against the wall, panting. He looked over at Bleddyn through narrowed eyes. He felt so stupid, mistaking her for his ex. His ex....He gritted his teeth at the thought of his past girlfriend. One of the few people he truly loved. Then she left him, like that. He sighed, his head throbbing. Bleddyn, at least to him, was beautiful, but...she couldn't know. She wouldn't even like him back, anyway.

Toby looked up to where Lachlan, Wolfram, and Bleddyn were walking towards him. More people? Kill them. Don't I know them? Kill. Them. Wait… what am I doing? I was on the floor a second ago… it doesn't matter. Toby looked around. There was a man with a bullet wound in his forehead lying by Toby. The man still had the black shadowy remains around his arms and legs from where he was previously restrained. N-no. I didn't… did I? I couldn't have. I said I would never use them again… I lost control. How did I lose control? Toby's eyes widened and he backed away, shaking his head. You didn't lose control, you just decided it was my turn to come out. "N-no. Go a-away." Toby said, banging his hand against his head. Back to the main subject, we were just about to kill those people. Don't worry, no one will miss them. "Stop it. I don't want you here." Toby growled. Alpha whimpered and nudged Toby with his nose. Fine then. When your stupid dog dies, don't look to me for sympathy. I won't be there. Some of the Pure members were starting to realize Toby wasn't attacking them anymore, and that he seemed distracted. A few of them moved in. Toby held up the gun that was still in his hands and started shooting them. His vision was blurry and there were black spots dancing around. Between that and his shaking hands, he kept missing his targets.

Toby shook his head and backed up into the wall. "No. No no no no no. Stay away from me. I-I don't want to hurt you. Get away." Toby said, his hands held out in front of him. He stared at the ground, but he could still see what she was doing out of the corner of his eyes.

She sighed and tazed another guy.
"No time to fight, we're going now. Your in no condition to..." she dragged on his jacket. "Come on, your going, into my car, Bleddyn too, no fighting. Somebody will have to carry her though," she said, dragging her eyes around the room. Great it looks like only Wolfram is willing to drag her. "Somebody will have to carry her..."

Toby stumbled after her. "Let me go." He said, trying to pull away from her. "I can go into my own car." I wouldn't want to ruin your perfect car with my blood. He almost said, but he couldn't get the words out. "I'm not leaving without the others." He said. He dug his heels into the ground.

"You are going," Indigo said. "You might die..."
"Fine, help me with Bleddyn."
@HeavensHens88

"I'm not going without everyone else." He repeated. He knew it was probably a waste of time arguing with her, and that she could easily make him go if she wanted to, but he was going to try anyway. "Let go of my shirt."

(Oops, meant to do that a while ago)
Indigo looked down at her hand and realized she was still grabbing the slightly sticky leather on his wrist. She slowly uncurled her slim ivory fingers and walked over to Bleddyn.

Toby straitened his sweater and stumbled towards Bleddyn. He gently grabbed her arm and helped her to the door.

River blinked at the teenagers. The were pathetically spread out, no battle structure at all. Lachlan, that Enchanter, and Toby had taken it upon themselves to tell Bleddyn to run, Wolfram looked like he was going to pass out while leaning against Lachlan and a wall.
She glanced around, trying to catch sight of the others.
Misty and Zion were still crouched around a unconscious Delilah, Misty stabbing anything that dared set a foot near them. Fritz was fighting jumpily, Emily was fighting-- not very well, and Sherri was merely running around in circles like a madman, not caring to help her rescuers.
River like out a snarl as a guard went for Sherri, and she lurched forward, taking him out. She shifted to her human form. "Sherri! Emily! Fritz! By me!" She growled. (@AMERAUCANAS4REAL @ChickenCowboy02 )

Bleddyn let herself be dragged along, not really registering that she was being forced somewhere against her will. She was so lost in her mind that her body had given up receiving function orders from an unresponsive control center and gone into ungoverned autopilot. Her fists still flew up mechanically whenever an individual in black approached, not often having the chance to land on enemy skin though- Indigo's hyperactive taser made sure of their maintained distance. Blood from her hairline streamed down her face in rivulets; she must've taken an unnoticed blow to her head at some point. No wonder- she'd been fighting senselessly with her bare hands to their proper weaponry and elite training.

Her allies had so many advantages compared to her; yet, oddly enough, she seemed the least wounded. Out of the corner of her eye, she'd seen Toby harness some shadows and take out a good slew of guards not too long ago and during this, a tear in his stomach had opened and bled out violently. Bleddyn hadn't even recalled hearing a shot ever hit its target, but what else could've done that to him?
Meanwhile, it'd been hard not to watch Wolfram being brought to his knees again by that tireless feline antagonist of his. The leering Mapleshade had appeared to wreathe poisoned words that caused him obvious torment for an unnecessary while before ultimately shoving his prone skull to the floor. He'd put up a good verbal and physical fight prior to her ultimatum move, but this had nulled it all. Even while being hammered in the face by her current attacker, Bleddyn had winced at the searing agony that the new-age DeVil had forced on his head.

"Why aren't any of us dead yet?" she muttered aloud, her distant voice warbling strangely. I need to know. I have to. "We're downing them without regard, and most of them have lethals too. Not like they're incapable of it. So why aren't they killing us?"

"That's a good question, but us characters do not question the grace of our creators, Indigo grunted as she somehow dodged a bullet. "Something tells me they still think I'm pretty."

"Yeah. Hm, thought so. I am too. You're Sammy and Crow's kid?" Camilla said, then looked awkward. "Sorry, I'm talking your ear off."

Zion took a deep breath and jumped up into the air and swooped down onto Mapleshades head, he clawed at her exposed face and batted her head with his powerful wings. The feeling of his talons sinking into her flesh and ripping out was all too surreal, it made him sick to his stomach but he didn't want to see his friends die. The majority of them were all so wounded and he was the only one who wasn't. So he was finally taking a stand, he was being courageous.
Chunks of muscle and blood splattered everywhere, his wings were aching from beating them against Mapleshade but he still continued to do so. He had to do something, especially to make up for Delilah attacking Wolfram at the Pancake house.
Zion shut his eyes and continued to attack Mapleshade, his legs and wings screamed in agony but he had a feeling that Mapleshade was in even more agony then he was. Blood dripped down his talons and sprayed onto his feathers making them sticky, he hated the feeling but he had to do this.

She didn't know where It can from, or what happened. In a matter of seconds, talons where sinking into her flesh, feathers blinding her. Mapleshade let out a screech of agony, lashing out blindly with the knife. She dashed forward, getting away from the attack for a heartbeat."Stop!"She shrieked, throwing her arms over her face, blood spattering against the walls and ground.
