«We Could Be Legends»

"Oh, for the love of all things sacred, first her and now you. Next, it'll be I'm his fiance," Bleddyn snapped, losing the tether on her hyperactive temper and consecutively her composure. "No, no, and heck no."

Bleddyn unhooked her arms from each other to crack her knuckles, Lachlan's nearing voice bolstering her confidence. "It'd be amusing to see you try, honestly. Especially after everything your son has told us about his father."
The viscous sarcasm practically oozed from her next words and added to the mess on the floor. "All fantastic, sublime things, of course. Our friend has given us absolutely no reason to rip you apart here and now."
The emphasis she forced onto 'friend' came back to rile her standing hatred for the teenage cat shifter who now sat helplessly above them, but she reluctantly dismissed it. Let him think we loyally stand for Wolfram and hate what's hurt him.
At least it's true in Lachlan's case.

Wolfram's throat tightened when the murderous look entered his fathers eyes. He half flung himself toward's Bleddyn and Lachlan, forcing a strong front to stand face to face with his father."Leave us alone, will you? Last I knew, you wanted not a thing to do with me, and left me to suffer knowing I wasn't good enough for you! Not that you care, but do you know how much it hurts to be rejected, by your own father none the less?" He stood beside Bleddyn, using the wall in the narrow hall to keep himself upright.

His eyes narrowed as he stared at his son. A part of him almost, almost felt sympathic that he had rejected his son so quickly. But Mapleshade noticed his delayed reaction, streatched up to whisper in his ear, a sly, hissing whisper."Don't let his word's get to you. You're with me, aren't you?" He shoved her away."Don't tell me how to live my life." He growled, looking back towards the three teenagers. He looked at Bleddyn, ignoring Wolfram's multiple attempts to get her to back down."Tell me."He growled."How are you so sure of yourself? You seem awful defiant, and awful quick to judge my and my men's strength. Maybe..."He paused."Maybe you're afraid, and you're trying not to show it. Maybe I should just kill you now and end your fear."

Lachlan stopped as Wolfram grabbed his arm. "Fine, but if he comes up here, I'm giving him a serious piece of my mind." He muttered, still fired up. He stood defensively beside Wolfram, watching Wolfram's father with a glare, as if daring him to come up at them.

Bleddyn's chest heaved as she futilely tried to reign herself back in.
Are you afraid? Are you really okay with dying here, alongside a best friend and an arch frenemy, at the hands of a foe that isn't even yours?
She had her answer even before she'd finished computing the mental question.
No. Because I haven't fallen yet and I'm not going to here.
"I only fear when there's actually something to be feared."

Brisa climbed out, flipping up the hood of her raincoat, and went to stand next to Jessi. "Very creepy. Um, how are we gonna get in?"

(This is gory intenseness....:O )
Biting into her cheek, Alice gestured toward the side of the building. "Despite being in this modern day and age, most people still utilize the primitive method of entry called a door."

Camilla hopped out of the van, and jogged past the others. "Good, wasn't just me thinking both those things." She murmured, pushing open the dark door and stepping in, warm air batting her face. "Now this isn't so bad!" She said, peering about. Uncut, brightly colored keys hung suspended from turnable cylinders, nearly everywhere. The walls were bright white, and to the side of the store, behind a counter was an old scrawny man, with a warm and welcoming smile on his face.
"Hello! Welcome, how may I help you?" He greeted kindly.

"Oh? You might want to rethink that, because I am something to be feared."He hissed softly.

"No."Wolfram snarled, surprising himself he had been able to summon such a rage in his state."You are nothing to be feared. You're a coward. You're the one afraid here. Bleddyn and Lachlan will always be stronger then you, and you know that. Leave while you can, I can easily call a friend to take the key before you can even get there." That's the best you could come up with? But then, he saw Mapleshade stiffen, her eye flashing with fear. He bit the inside of his lip to stop a smirk of triumph.

Mapleshade stiffened. No! They cannot take the key away, it's in our grasp! "Enough, Michael! We need that key."She hissed.

Hmmm, Wolfram isn't so uselessly malleable under pressure after all.
"Your dreadfulness has yet to be proven for me, and according to your son here, there's nothing to prove. I think I'll take his word."
With a nonchalant shrug, Bleddyn took a step back, clearing a path to the stairs for the two psychopaths to barrel out on their way. "But go on, then, if you're so desperate."

Wolfram met his father gaze, not trembling anymore."Leave. Or I will kill both of you."His voice didn't waver this time, as if he had pushed all the fear deep down inside.

"I'm disappointed in you, Wolfram."He hissed."But maybe I can change that. Maybe I can change you, and maybe you can forget your hatred towards me?"He held a gloved hand out towards Wolfram."Join me. I'll help you."

Wolfram flinched away from his hand."I'll never join you. Never. Go before I make sure the key will never be your's!"

"You'll regret this, Wolfram."His father simply turned away from him, and helped Mapleshade down the hall, the opisete direction of them, dissapering into the shadows.

Wolfram stared after them, snarling inaudible swears under his breath. He turned away from the shadows, still holding onto the wall. He looked at Bleddyn, staring at her as if he was trying to find something to say.

Bleddyn looked up at him, her bright eyes smiling victoriously in place of her actual mouth performing the action. No smiling. No dimples. No.
"That was interesting," she said simply, still exhibiting complete indifference.

"Sure it was for you. You got to yell at more people. Hey, you should have punched him in the face, just like you did to me yesterday."Wolfram teased, trying to make light out of what had just happened. He smiled at her, trying to ward off another wave of clawing unconsciousness.

"I assume we just knock. If no one answers we break the door down." Jessi said.
Biting into her cheek, Alice gestured toward the side of the building. "Despite being in this modern day and age, most people still utilize the primitive method of entry called a door."

(I thought it was closed 'cause it's Sunday)
Brisa followed Camilla in, glancing uncertainly back at the others.
