«We Could Be Legends»

Wolfram met his father gaze, not trembling anymore."Leave. Or I will kill both of you."His voice didn't waver this time, as if he had pushed all the fear deep down inside.

"I'm disappointed in you, Wolfram."He hissed."But maybe I can change that. Maybe I can change you, and maybe you can forget your hatred towards me?"He held a gloved hand out towards Wolfram."Join me. I'll help you."

Wolfram flinched away from his hand."I'll never join you. Never. Go before I make sure the key will never be your's!"

"You'll regret this, Wolfram."His father simply turned away from him, and helped Mapleshade down the hall, the opisete direction of them, dissapering into the shadows.

Wolfram stared after them, snarling inaudible swears under his breath. He turned away from the shadows, still holding onto the wall. He looked at Bleddyn, staring at her as if he was trying to find something to say.
Bleddyn looked up at him, her bright eyes smiling victoriously in place of her actual mouth performing the action. No smiling. No dimples. No.
"That was interesting," she said simply, still exhibiting complete indifference.
"Sure it was for you. You got to yell at more people. Hey, you should have punched him in the face, just like you did to me yesterday."Wolfram teased, trying to make light out of what had just happened. He smiled at her, trying to ward off another wave of clawing unconsciousness.
Lachlan glared daggers into Michael's back, blinking away the dark light in his eyes as he turned to Bleddyn and Wolfram. "Quite interesting." He said, and gave a half laugh at Wolfram's comment. "Yeah, then I'd have to bite your leg and get kicked in the gut."

"Gee, I missed a golden opportunity, didn't I?" Bleddyn muttered wryly with an accompanying an eye roll.
She didn't miss the telltale paling of his face that publically announced Wolfram wasn't going to be upright much longer. Miracle he's made it this long with his head. "You think you're gonna be able to stay awake until Lach finally gets you outside?"

"Oh you're concerned now, huh?"Wolfram snorted."I'm fine, really. Doesn't hurt that much, just a little ache, that's all."He lied, almost falling when he attempted to walk forward. He gave her a sheepish smile."See, I'm totally fine."He mumbled.

Bleddyn gave an indignant snort of her own. "As if. I just want to know if you can make it or if we're gonna be dragging the whole dang bulk of you." She laughed tersely when he failed at demonstrating stability. "Can you shift in this state or no?"

"Are you saying I'm fat!?"Wolfram mockingly acted offended, rolling his eyes."Uhh one hundred percent not. It would take to much energy, I think I would probably black out."He tested his stability again, one hand against the wall as he stepped forward. He let out a sigh of relief as he stayed upright, wincing at another throb in his head.

Lachlan sighed. "Too bad, would have been way easier to carry a cat than a teenager." He offered himself as support for Wolfram to lean against.

"Yes, yes you did."

"It would have been so friging funny if you just punched him senseless."Wolfram mumbled senselessly."I probably would have died of laughter."He muttered, half leaning on Lachlan, half leaning on the wall.

"And I probably would've died for real," Bleddyn supplied matter-of-factly as she climbed the first stair for the second time. "Think the others are gonna make it out here sometime or should I go corral them?"

"Knowing my father? He would probably run away in shock that you actually punched him."Wolfram mumbled, stumbling up the stairs."They'll come at some point, I don't even know where they are."His pace paled drastically more, until his skin was pretty much sheet white, and looked like he'd black out on the spot.

"So it really all was a grandiose facade?" Bleddyn barked something that was half a bitter laugh, half an admiring whistle. "I'd guess that Mrs. Lastless and the two biggest cowards of the bunch are holing out somewhere by now. Don't think we have to worry about River and Misty." Oh, heck yeah, Mrs. Hero's not in earshot; I'm gonna undermine her with incorrect addressing all I freaking want.
