«We Could Be Legends»

Grace listened to the conversation, considering Tom's words carefully. She was still thinking about them when she climbed into the car. By the time she realized the others were talking, they were almost to the bank. "What?"

Peter slid in before Camilla could claim the window seat and stared at the trees and power lines that they passed.
"I don't have anyone's number." Jessi said. "Oh, we were talking about calling aunt River or Lachlan."
"Oh. Well, I have Aunt River's number, but I don't know how much we want to tell her." Brisa replied, feeling bad that she wanted to keep anything from her "aunt." "I guess we could ask her to let us talk to someone, as long as she's with them all. Hopefully she wasn't in such a hurry that she forgot her phone."

Wolfram stared at Roberto dumbly, waiting for a answer.
His hands, pale and trembling, held Delilah gently, the small creature just barely breathing, her heart slow under his hand. It was terrifying how lifeless she felt, his eyes narrowed in panic. I won't let anyone else die! She can't die! I don't care how much I despise her, she can't die. I won't let it happen.

Toby nodded. "There's someone you might want to meet inside. The leader of the Multitude." He said, and leaned against the bridge.

"Who should we contact? Maybe Aunt River or Aunt Misty? Maybe not Aunt Misty." She said, letting out a small, rueful laugh. "She can be a little reckless. But they both can." She thought for a second. "Maybe Lachlan? Does anyone have his number?"

Wolfram ran his hand over the gray fox fur, smoothing the ruffled, soaked fluff gently. It's not Delilah, she didn't hurt you, she didn't hurt you, she didn't punch you, it's not her, it's not her, it's not her... Waiting quietly for a nurse and River to show up, he kept his eyes on the fox and his head down, but kept looking over at Leona. The fox was just barely breathing, as if her life was slipping through his fingers. He felt her breathing stop for a few heartbeats, and then a soft, shuddering breath. No, No! We can't loose her, I've lost to many people... To many! "Guys! River! She needs help, like um, NOW!"

Bleddyn darted over to him, the looming casualty at hand leading her to momentarily forget her preferred distance from Wolfram. "We left her behind," she muttered dully as a rare sense of earnest guilt began to plague her. Delilah's needed healing the most all along, too. Wincing as she envisioned the feelings Misty had for the lot of them right about now, Bleddyn took a shaky step back and gestured down the main corridor. "...where you were, I guess...right?" She spoke hurriedly and was tripping over sense in her rush to get it all out. "With the amount of them pestering us before, there's got to be someone to treat her now."
She swung around to face Leona and the others expectantly. Like they could be any laggier. Shouldn't there be like a blaring loudspeaker announcing that they've got an emergency patient or what?

"I-I guess. Vanessa dissapered...somewhere."Wolfram mumbled. He put a hand on the foxes side, just barely able to feel her breath. It frightened him how lifeless a living creature could look."Where the-"He broke off, silently cursing under his breath."-Is River?! She was here a heartbeat ago and now she's gone. Does anyone are that she's dying?!"He pushed away from the wall, glancing around. He started heading down the corridor, stopping to turn and see Bleddyn."Find a nurse, now!"He snapped.

Misty nodded at Toby, "alright you can take me to them later as I said before, Zion and Delilah are my first priority. As she stepped inside the building she saw Wolfram holding Delilah and waiting for a man in front of him to do something. Misty sprinted right up to Wolfram's side and clapped her hands in the man's face, still holding onto Zion. "HEY, YOU SNAIL BRAINED DIMWIT, DO YOU NOT SEE THE HALF DEAD FOX IN THIS BOY'S HANDS?!" She roared
"THAT'S MY DAUGHTER IF YOU DIDNT KNOW. GET HER A HEALER OR HER BLOOD IS ON YOUR HANDS IF SHE DIES." Misty then reverted into a soft but bone-chilling voice, "then of course, if that happens your blood will be on my hands. Not to mention the walls of this building too."

Wolfram flinched backward at her sudden outburst, holding Delilah to his chest."Ok, ok Misty. Calm down. She's going to be alright, of course she will."He murmured anxiously, as if more trying to calm himself down. He glanced at Delilah, ever muscle in his body stiff with worry. The fox's breathing would still, then start, as if she where almost dying and coming back. Or she was loosing oxygen because her organs where shutting down.

"It would be worth a shot. Maybe ask to talk to Lachlan." Jessi said.

Toby watched their conversation. For once he agreed with Wolfram. "I could be wrong, but yelling at the people who are supposed to heal her probably won't help. But what do I know, it's not like I've had experience with this sorta thing before." He said, the last part sarcastic.

(Fanci does but shes benched for now)
"Yes I know Wolfram, but this deadhead is just gawking at you while she isnt alright now." Misty growled and lashed her tail

"Do not get snarky with me."Wolfram snapped back."I agree with Toby, yelling at people will get you know where. Then again we mustn't know anything because we're kids."

Misty stopped jumping and stood over Wolfram, her entire body shaking, her eyes obviously showed she was worried but a glimmer of psychotic lust shone through as she glared Wolfram in the eyes.
"You dare call me snarky then get sarcastic with me, boy?" She growled low and long as she pulled back her lips. "If anyone, you should be telling yourself that yelling and crying out will get you nowhere. I was a few blocks away when you were bawling in IHop, but I could still hear it because you don't know how to keep your trap shut," she snapped.

Toby looked between them. "Be careful, she might pin you against the wall." He warned Wolfram. He turned to Leona. "Thanks for your answer. Oh wait, you didn't say anything. But who cares, everyone else always ignores me, why wouldn't you?" He snapped. He walked into the hall and started glancing through the rooms until he found the bathroom. He entered, and looked around. He walked up to the sink and started washing his hands until they were almost raw. After he got all the blood off his hands he pulled out his contacts and put them in his backpack. He pulled out his first aid kit and started cleaning his wound. He found a needle and thread and quickly stitched his wound back up. He replaced the bandages, and put everything back into his backpack.
