«We Could Be Legends»

Toby flinched. He refrained from snapping at her. He slowly pulled away from her. "Are you hurt? There are healers that can help. If you trust them enough, that is." He asked.
Misty looked over herself and saw that she had quite a few cuts and nicks from where bullets grazed her.
"No Im fine, Del and Zion are first priority right now."

Toby nodded. "There's someone you might want to meet inside. The leader of the Multitude." He said, and leaned against the bridge.

"Yeah, I think that would be smart." Jessi said. After everyone was in the car she pulled out of the parking lot and drove to the bank.
"Who should we contact? Maybe Aunt River or Aunt Misty? Maybe not Aunt Misty." She said, letting out a small, rueful laugh. "She can be a little reckless. But they both can." She thought for a second. "Maybe Lachlan? Does anyone have his number?"

Wolfram ran his hand over the gray fox fur, smoothing the ruffled, soaked fluff gently. It's not Delilah, she didn't hurt you, she didn't hurt you, she didn't punch you, it's not her, it's not her, it's not her... Waiting quietly for a nurse and River to show up, he kept his eyes on the fox and his head down, but kept looking over at Leona. The fox was just barely breathing, as if her life was slipping through his fingers. He felt her breathing stop for a few heartbeats, and then a soft, shuddering breath. No, No! We can't loose her, I've lost to many people... To many! "Guys! River! She needs help, like um, NOW!"

Bleddyn darted over to him, the looming casualty at hand leading her to momentarily forget her preferred distance from Wolfram. "We left her behind," she muttered dully as a rare sense of earnest guilt began to plague her. Delilah's needed healing the most all along, too. Wincing as she envisioned the feelings Misty had for the lot of them right about now, Bleddyn took a shaky step back and gestured down the main corridor. "...where you were, I guess...right?" She spoke hurriedly and was tripping over sense in her rush to get it all out. "With the amount of them pestering us before, there's got to be someone to treat her now."
She swung around to face Leona and the others expectantly. Like they could be any laggier. Shouldn't there be like a blaring loudspeaker announcing that they've got an emergency patient or what?

"I-I guess. Vanessa dissapered...somewhere."Wolfram mumbled. He put a hand on the foxes side, just barely able to feel her breath. It frightened him how lifeless a living creature could look."Where the-"He broke off, silently cursing under his breath."-Is River?! She was here a heartbeat ago and now she's gone. Does anyone are that she's dying?!"He pushed away from the wall, glancing around. He started heading down the corridor, stopping to turn and see Bleddyn."Find a nurse, now!"He snapped.

River whirled around quickly, scrambling over and checking over Delilah. "You." She snapped, motioning to a man, who's name appeared to be Roberto. "Can you be useful and help us out?" (@AMERAUCANAS4REAL You were playing that dude, right?)

Lachlan, biting his tongue to keep from telling her to not call him 'Lachy', nodded. "Yeah, one of the healers here can help him. I'm sure." He motioned to the brick building, stepping towards it slowly, but waiting for her.

Indigo sighed and turned away. And they thought she was bossy. This chicken might be the most bossy creature on the planet.
"Ok, your diplomaticness," she sneered. She walked back towards the door.
Frosty huffed out a sigh of relief once she was out of earshot. Why is Alan always like this? He wondered, hopping out into the rain to check for Purists and tracking devices.
Brisa took the envelope carefully, surprised that he had given it to her. Glancing at the others uncertainly, she put it gently into the pocket of her dress, pushing it down to the bottom to make sure that it wouldn't fall out. "Th-thank you." She said earnestly, the gratitude showing clearly in her eyes. "This is amazing." A strange feeling came over her, a tiny sense of the immense importance of the small yet extraordinarily significant thing they now had. And I don't even know what that significance is.
"Thank you so much sir. We really appreciate it." Jessi said genuinely. She looked at the others. "We should go. We need to get this before the Pure does."
A grim look crossed Tom's face. "Don't thank me." He said his voice quiet. "Just, don't get yourselves killed."

Alice who had been leaning against a wall near by with her arms folded across her chest, stood up, "We'll be fine." She growled. What was it with all of these unhelpful people lately? Alice walked toward the door.

(sorry guys I have no clue how to respond :/ )
Jessi walked outside and got in the car. She started the engine and waited for the others to join her.
Camilla stood by the counter for a few seconds longer, giving the man a sideways look. "Thanks." She muttered, before whirling on her heals and jogging out the door, making a disgusted face as rain immediately battered down on her. She quickly jerked the van door open, climbing into the passenger seat and slamming the door shut. "Guess we're going to a bank." She murmured quietly.
Alice held the door open for everyone frowning at Tom the whole time. Maybe Silver had picked Maryella and Tom because they were so annoying. At least this guy didn't insist they pay him.

From the sound of it, what ever was in the bank was really important, and dangerous. He said that Silver was careful hiding it, but here he was practically throwing it at them. What could this "Key" possibly be, that he wanted to get rid of it so badly? Why would he trust them?
A wave of anxiety suddenly filled her, her heart dropping to her stomach. Something bad was going to happen, but she couldn't stop, she couldn't just leave. Everyone was already in danger, and she had no choice but to keep going and face it head on. To see it through to the end no matter what happened.

**Flashback**

Alice sat on a bench in the hallway, her head in her hands. The disgusting medical smell, filling her mouth every time she breathed in sobbing. There was no doubt in her mind. This time, it was all her fault. We should NEVER have gone there! Tears ran down her cheeks in unceasing rivers. Dyn... Why, Why did you want to go there? Why did you jump? It's not like you were going to miraculously sprout wings, just because you wanted to!

A hand gently brushed her shoulder, Alice batted it away, glaring up to see who would be so heartless as to disturb her. "Mom?" She sniffed, roughly wiping the tears off her face, trying desperately to replace her despair with anger. "What do you want?" She asked through clenched teeth.

Tayn crouched down and pulled Alice into a tight hug. "What were you doing there?" She whispered. Tayn had done everything she could think of to keep her kids from finding out about what had happened so long ago. How had she figured out where the inhuman city had been? Memories of that time came flooding back to her, painful memories she had tried to forget.

Alice stared at the bare wall, "We just," She hiccuped unable to talk properly, "I don't know." She she closed her eyes, shaking her head, finally attempting to awkwardly hug her mom back. She knew her mom was trying to make her feel better, but half falling off the bench and being crushed against someone was uncomfortable, bordering on painful. She hated herself for the stupid thought, why was she worried about a little discomfort, when Dyn was on the other side of the wall struggling to cling to life? She started crying again her tears making her moms hair wet and sticking it to her cheek. Her whole body shook as she tried to be as quiet as possible, maybe her mom wouldn't realize she was crying.

"I've told you so many times to be careful, bad things happen so quickly! You should have known better than to go there." Alice exhaled sharply and tried to stifle a sob, even her mom blamed her? She squeezed her eyes shut, a new sense of guilt coursing though her. She pushed her mom away roughly, shoving her off her feet onto the floor.

"MAYBE WE WOULDN'T HAVE GONE IF YOU HAD JUST TOLD US WHAT THAT PLACE WAS!" She screeched, and took off, sprinting up the hospital corridor. Her chest ached, but she pushed herself as fast as she could go. She had to get away! She had to get out! Dyn was going to die! And it was all her fault!
With one last grateful look towards Tom, Brisa turned and headed back to the car, pulling her raincoat closer as she stepped out into the downpour. She climbed into the backseat and buckled her seatbelt, pulling out her phone. "Should we try and get ahold of the others first?" She asked, reminded of Charlie's worried voice earlier.
Grace listened to the conversation, considering Tom's words carefully. She was still thinking about them when she climbed into the car. By the time she realized the others were talking, they were almost to the bank. "What?"

Peter slid in before Camilla could claim the window seat and stared at the trees and power lines that they passed.

Toby walked back inside. He sighed, and tossed his weapons into the Tupperware. He walked up to Leona. "Um, awkward question, but -uh- where's the bathroom?" He asked, mentally cringing.
