With shaky legs, Bleddyn labored up the front steps of the elegant house that her automated guide dropped her at. The phone-led trek here hadn't been as nearly as long or complicated as she'd expected- that, or, she'd run much farther unguided that she'd thought.Brisa typed back:
OK, see you soon.
Setting her phone down, she glanced up at the others. "Well, she'll definitely have to do some explaining before we understand how she ended up by herself in a strange part of town." She said.
But she'd be lying to herself if she didn't admit pretty much everything hurt. This much continuous strain on her bad leg had not only done a number on it, but a negative impact on everything else amiss was felt as well.
Yup, I'm a mess. Somehow the thought put a sycophantic grin on her face. And I'm still okay.
Bleddyn raised a bruised fist to rap on the door....then lowered it, reconsidering on account of what her hands had already suffered.
Biting down on her tongue, she briefly weighed her options of arrival announcement out.
Then, she tripped a few steps back for momentum and rammed her whole right side into the door, because that was definitely the best course of action.
