«We Could Be Legends»

(Is it bad that I started laughing at some parts?)

Wolfram could hear a voice beside him, just barely able to hear what the voice was saying. He didn't open his eyes, but his ear flicked, and the tip of his tail twitched softly. He forced his eyes to open, staring up at Lachlan for a heartbeat, and for once, he looked like he trusted him. His body gave a soft shudder, and his eyes flickered shut, his breathing slowing down some as if he had just fallen asleep.
(I did too. Is it wrong that my brain screamed 'Lachram' for a second?)

Lachlan gave a glance over Wolfram's body, worried about the open wounds. He bent over, scooping him up in his arms, holding him like a baby.
He stood up wobbly, limping forward until he came to Indigo's car, jerking the door open and collapsing into the car, letting Wolfram fall into his lap as his hand went to grip at his own wound. "Please, stop doing this stuff."

Toby gave a final glance at the others and walked back out. He got in the passenger seat and turned and glanced at Wolfram and Lachlan. "Is he… dead?" He asked. You could hear the guilt in his voice, after all, he blamed himself for Wolfram running away.

(XDXD nah)

Wolfram shifted slightly in Lachlan's lap, letting out a soft meow. He didn't open his eyes, but stretched a paw out, resting it against Lachlan's hand gently.

Misty and Zion shuffled out to the others, she pinned back her ears and growled at the slow patter of rain exploding onto her hair. She hoped and prayed that Zion and Delilah didn't see her crying while she was sleeping. If anyone mentioned it she would brush it off. She stared up at the sky with cold eyes, wishing she didn't have to cope like this. She sometimes wished that her past would leave her mind, but she knew that if that happened she wouldn't be who she was. So that's why she dealt with it.
She lowered her eyes and stepped up to the car, she peered into the window and waved at the three boys in the back. She then turned around and leaned against the car, waiting for River, while waiting she saw Delilah pad out of the doors in her fox form. Misty held out her arms to Del and she bolted over and launched herself into her mother's arms.
She held Delilah for a moment then put her down so she could shift into human form, which she did. She looked at her children on both sides of her, her eyes sparkling with pride. "You two are turning out to be just like your father and I," she murmured. She reached out and ruffled both their heads of hair and smiled happily, then it faded. "But if you're going to turn out like what happened in the past you're going to have to stay strong ok? Through everything, even when Im not here you have to stay strong."
Zion and Delilah both nodded at her then smiled.

Jessi jogged downstairs. "What did you do? You could've broken the door! Mom would kill me if she saw that!" Jessi sighed. "Welcome in. Take a shower, before you get yuck everywhere. Here's some clothes, don't ruin them." She said, handing Bleddyn a gray turtleneck sweater and a pair of jeans.
"But I didn't," Bleddyn pointed out with a shameless shrug. She took the clothes, eyeing them guardedly, as if she expected the uncomfortably formal turtleneck to spontaneously come alive and consume her innards. Could be worse, I guess. "I'll try not to, but I can't really guarantee anything."
On her way down the hall toward the nearest bathroom, she hastily turned around with an afterthought. "Uh... thanks."

Brisa took in Bleddyn's sodden and messy appearance, noticing her limp and bandages. "If Bleddyn looks like this, I wonder how bad a condition the others are in?" She said quietly to Jessi.

Jessi's eyes widened. "I hope they're okay." She said. She was mainly worried about Toby, but when she was one the phone with him a minute ago he sounded fine.

"Yeah." Brisa replied, anxious.

"They're all the most stubborn and bipolar donkeys I've ever met, but they're fine," Bleddyn called from the bathroom door, having easily overheard their concern. "I'm the only moron who ran bloody miles on foot in this weather." She didn't even know if she was using that last adjective as a cliché British flare or far too literally.

"Careful who you say that to, some of them are actually bipolar." Jessi said with a smile. She turned to the others. "I don't know if I said this yet, but Toby and the others should be coming here soon."

Bleddyn's eyes jerked to disbelieving slits and she backed away into the security of the bathroom, shaking her head slowly.
"...are you...you're....kidding...please... tell me you're joking."
She flung the door shut behind her, the last word coming out as a muffled shriek of loathing.
Moving on hyperdrive, Bleddyn shredded her ruined clothes, pitched them onto an infuriatingly fluffy mat and securing its untimely demise by filth, and practically flew into the shower.

River flung the Multitude base's door open, almost flying out of it as she shot several words over her shoulder to Leona, pulling the door shut briskly. She flicked her tail, giving a low growl under her breath at the gloomy sky and showering rain.
She glanced around, barely missing Lachlan collapse into Indigo's car, holding a sodden black cat.
Her eyes stilled on Misty, and she strolled forward, not caring if she interrupted the family moment. "We all ready to go? We're going to Jenna's house." She barked, blinking rain water from her eyes.

Misty, during the time she was waiting for River, formed an ice dagger as sharp as a real one and had been flipping it. She stopped flipping it as soon as River barked at her and balanced the tip of the blade on her pointer fingertip.
"I dunno, are you ready you old dog?" She smiled, tossed the knife in the air and melted it as she turned her back to enter into the car.
