River stared into Ash's enraged eyes, her own eyes dull and seemingly staring into space. "I never said Bleddyn was okay, I said 'I don't know where she is' which at the time, was true. I knew she was taken, yes, but where, I only found that out later. I couldn't tell you, you'd insist we wait for you to come, I couldn't wait, or I'm almost positive I would be down a son and you a daughter. You would have simply been in the way. Like you are now. Why couldn't you have stayed home with Bleddyn?" She muttered harshly, but her heart obviously wasn't in it.
As someone's hand rapped against the door, she had to swallow a whimper of distress. She suddenly shot forward, brushing past Ash's shoulder and was standing at the door in mere seconds, her hand hovering over the handle.
I'm so, so sorry, Ash.
She jerked the door open, a look of utter blankness on her face. "Officer?"
Alice stepped into the room, at the same time as River opened the door. Police? Why would the police be at Jessi's house? She noticed Fritz chatting with Toby and Jessi, when had he gotten here? Alice wandered into the kitchen trying to draw as little attention to herself as possible.

River nodded, offering her hand to a hand shake for formal greeting, however she could not pull a smile to go along with it. "Correct, I'm River Katrina Loson."
Freddie nodded, taking her hand he shook it once firmly but quickly. His lips pursed together and he braced for what he had to tell her. "May I come in? I need to talk to you, and your nieces."

"Thank you. I think you're the only person here that isn't looking to get a fight." Jessi said.
Jessi watched the police officer enter the house. She saw the weird look he gave them when she mentioned Toby was manic and was going to get himself killed. Oh no. Please don't come over here. Please, please don't come over here and ask about Toby. She thought. She slowly rapped her wings around Toby and pulled him closer towards her.
"I've been through enough conflict in the past days...", Fritz said, "I think we all have..." He glanced over towards the police officer entering the room.

Fritz sensed she was nervous as she protected Toby with her wings. "What's wrong? ...Or do I not need to know..."

"It's probably nothing, but I think he heard use saying Toby was manic and might kill himself. A lot of times people would probably be hospitalized for that, so I'm just a little nervous." Jessi said. Toby tried to squirm out of her grip, but Jessi kept him there.

Frankie scanned the faces of all of the people in the room a lot of the kids looked pretty beat up. He recognized a few faces he had seen at the park, but hadn't spoken to before they disappeared. He wanted to ask about it, but he had something more important he had to deal with first.

"Alice? Camilla?" He called their names as gently as he could. "I need to talk to you."

(Kate if you make me cry...)

River stepped aside, motioning for him to come in. "Alice, Camil--"
"What?" Camilla's voice greeted her right as the teenager's name started to escape her lips. Camilla sounded mellow and put down, quiet. An odd thing for the boastful and silly girl.
River glanced over her niece, her tears had been dried, and she had undoubtedly been coaxed into a fragile calm by Lachlan and Finlay.
