Bleddyn shook out her spiking hair vigorously and let her eyes lazily trace the ceiling fan for a while, trying to mentally get lost in its motionless spokes rather than entertaining the alternate option of depressive brooding."It's still sleep time." Alice growled trying fruitlessly to turn more. Her face was stuck to the plastic of the air mattress. She huffed a sigh she wasn't going to go back to sleep.
Everything seemed to hurt, her hands and nose seemed to be the worst of it though. She pulled the pillow off her head flopping it onto the floor next to her. And stared dully out the window at the sunny day.
“She probably avoided it because of you.” Brisa replied, folding a new shirt and reaching for another. “I mean, think about it. Your mother got what she’s always wanted: your father.” She stopped folding and looked at him. “Don’t you think that she probably wanted to be in your mom’s position?”"I don't know." He murmured quietly. He looked up from the drawer, snatching a necklace laying on the dresser top. "Mapleshade's a weird woman. She does strange things for no reason. She has always avoiding this room like it was haunted or something." He set the necklace in the box gingerly, as if afraid to make any sudden movements with it. "Why though, I'll never understand. And why she wants the key I'll also never understand." He pulled out a sweatshirt from the back of the drawer, instantly pulling it on. Even if the sweatshirt was white, a color he normally wouldn't wear, he didn't even care. He covered his arms, that's all he gave a frick about.
Wolfram shook his head, sighing. "My mom never loved my father. She told me herself. She thought she did, but in the end when she found out she was pregnant with me, and told him, his reaction was enough for her to realize she never loved him." He shrugged, pulling a pair of jeans out of the dressed, folding them carefully. "But she would have wanted to be in moms position. Mapleshade loved my dad. And she made it no secret either." He paused, meeting her gaze almost helplessly. "But why Mapleshade would kill my mom over a silly key and over a guy....I'll never be able to figure out." He said softly, his voice almost a whisper.“She probably avoided it because of you.” Brisa replied, folding a new shirt and reaching for another. “I mean, think about it. After having freed herself from the tangle of sheets, she rolled across the irritating rubber until she lay beside Alice.
"I'm assuming you're not doing school today?" she muttered quietly after a bit of a silence. Her mouth gaped with a noisy yawn. "I really should. Bio test."
Brisa paused in silence for a second, then set the box down next to her, stood, and hugged him. I just want to protect him somehow. She thought.Wolfram shook his head, sighing. Wolfram stiffened at her sudden touch, not expecting it at all. He hesitantly put his arms around her, swallowing back a sob. "Thank you..." Was all he could muster. He hated how pathetic his voice sounded, more like a whimpering child then anything.Brisa paused in silence for a second, then set the box down next to her, stood, and hugged him. An uncomfortable lump formed in Bleddyn’s throat and her words dried in her parched mouth."Mmhn. I don't know." She furrowed her brow, sighing to fight off the contagious yawn. "Here or there, it'll be the same. Might actually be better at school. Most people probably won't know yet. And it'll keep me busy." She was quite for a few minutes. "About yesterday, I shouldn't have told you like that." She sighed again, her back still turned to Bleddyn. "I think I should stay with Camilla she probably won't be up to school today."
(Hey @ChickenCowboy02 we're waiting. :3 )(Aw yiss)
An uncomfortable lump formed in Bleddyn’s throat and her words dried in her parched mouth.
Last night had gotten even worse after the policeman had left. The news of his brother-in-law’s death had been later broken to her father and he’d taken it far worse than Tayn's. The two of them had become close in the time they’d been married to the sisters. For Connor, losing Thomas had been losing a big brother.
Looking at the grief of herself and her parents, Bleddyn simply couldn’t comprehend how badly Camilla and Alice had to be hurting.
There really aren’t any right words anymore.
“Sit up and let me hug you.”
She may have wanted it to come out brisk and unemotional, but she outright failed.
