«We Could Be Legends»

"You-" Wolfram jerked the knife forward, the tip of the blade pointing at Toby. "-Don't break up my conversations. You-" He jerked the knife upwards, towards Taylor. "Shut up and keep to yourself. And you-" He whirled around to Alice and River. He snapped the knife shut, shoving in into his pocket. "Just keep doing whatever you're doing."

Toby glared at him. "Don't threaten people with knifes, and I'll stay out of your arguments. Let's go, we aren't here to fight each other." He said, and stomped towards the caves.

River stumbled back from a large, overgrown path that split from the one they were taking, looking over at Wolfram. "What? Oh. Hmmph, too bad, would have been nice to see you shove that knife down Kiddo's throat." She said slyly, jogging past him. "Come on, let's get those crystals." She called, before stopping, turning to face a downed Taylor. "You coming, Kiddo? However much I'd like to leave you here, keeping an eye on you around here is best, so get up, and stop nagging at Wolfram."

"I know right? I was so tempted to do it." Wolfram snorted half-heartedly.
Taylor hissed at River, but stood up. "Fine, fine, I'm coming!"
Wolfram continued towards the cave, but stopped dead. A large open area, like a battle field, was between him and the cave, the ground littered with skeletons. Human skeletons. "R-River?"

Wolfram glanced at River, nodding. He looked back at Alice, exhaustion pulling at him. "I just scraped it while we where fighting the Pure. It's nothing, really." He shrugged, continuing along the path.

Taylor shoved past Toby, jogging up to Wolfram who shot her a glare. "You act like your life is the worst thing in the world. Like your life is falling apart. Lighten up some, will you?" She muttered.
What she didn't expect, was the power behind a punch from a certain blue eyed boy, that send her flying. She snarled, her back hitting the truck of a weeping willow tree with a soft thud.
"Say that again you'll get much worse!" Wolfram hissed. "Shut up, or I'll make you. Forever." Just to prove his point he pulled the knife out of his pocket, snapping it open. The blade glinted in the light, looking dangerously sharp.
"Alright, alright. You can put the weapon down now, kitty-boy." Taylor huffed, straightening up.
Alice stopped dead in her tracks staring at the shining metal blade. What was he doing?
"Watch it." Toby growled when Taylor shoved past him. "Both if you enough! I get it, you hate each other, blah blah blah. But for once, shut up." He said, standing between them.

Her vision blurred tears filling her eyes, panic had frozen her to the ground, was he going to hurt Toby? Why? Alice flinched away from his gaze when he turned toward her, the tears finally dropping down her cheeks. She turned her face away trying to hide that she was crying again.

River smirked, turning suddenly from Taylor and scrambling forward, before she stopped beside Wolfram as her foot collided with something hard.
She slowly turned her head down, peering down at her foot, a human skeletal remains beside it. Oh, that's lovely.
She blinked as she recognized the area. She turned her head to Wolfram, the skimpy color draining completely from her face, and she had the annoying urge to hurl up stomach acids that were rising in her throat. "I..." She started to croak something up, but slammed her mouth shut, blinking rapidly. Oh the pain seemed to flow in the air in this place, as though the fallen warriors' cries still were raising from their windpipes.
"It's- It's the battle field. I fought here... With the Heroes... Against Firestein's soldiers." She whimpered, blinking quickly as though she saw the battle, with all it's scarring gore, in the present.

"Alice?" Wolfram turned around. He could hear her soft, muffled sob. Someone who wasn't a shapeshifter or has hearing abilities wouldn't have heard it. "Alice..." He came up behind her slowly, putting a hand on her shoulder. "It alright, it's alright. I'm not going to hurt anyone, I promise." He murmured softly.

The pain. He could hear it in her voice, he could feel it radiating off her body in waves, even though he was standing now a few feet away from her. He couldn't believe it, how deeply the scene was affecting her. He tried to speak, but found he couldn't, he throat closing on him completely.

Toby stared at the skeletons that were covering the ground. He looked up at River. He could hear the pain in her voice. "Y-you don't have to go there. You c-can always wait by the car." He stuttered. He glanced back to the battlefield, and to a large area of land that had been burned, too damaged for the plant there to ever grow back. He took a few steps closer to the burn marks.

She pulled away from his touch, angry at how quickly he seemed to have changed. "Really? You're not going to hurt anyone?" She spat, glaring up at him. She swatted his hand away. She wanted to scream and fight, but all she could manage was chattering her teeth together. It was the same question she had asked, right before her mom was shot. "Just leave me alone." She said, shoving him back so she could go join the others. "I'm fine!"

River glanced at Toby, shaking her head as she regained control over her emotions. "No... I'm sticking with you guys." She murmured, approaching a old jeep that had been crashed into a pile of rocks, eyeing a skeleton that was laying beside it. I killed that man, I remember him. I remember his screams. She blinked, realizing that she had paled and looked faint again, and looked to where Toby was walking to. "Either Tayn or Rex did that scorch thing." She uttered simply.
