«We Could Be Legends»

"Er, no, Misty, they ain't. And yeah, sorta." River said, glancing at the suspicious van.

"And why do you think I care, Kiddo?" River growled at Taylor, lip curled and fangs bared, before glancing at Wolfram. "Tell me who to kill, and I will."
"Eh fair enough. The more psychotic folk we have the more fun," she grinned then looked at the van River glanced at. "We have company," she growled in wolf language.

Misty signaled for the kids to hop on her back again then padded out of the bushes. "Actually... Bushes are very comfortable to sit in." She said. "Is the situation over? She asked while tilting her head. Do we have everyone in their right minds?"

"Really? Huh. Um, I don't think some people in our present company are ever in their right mind." Jessi said, and automatically looked at Wolfram.

Misty peered at Wolfram from the corner of her eye. "Yeah sure Cat-boy. If ya want I can kill you right here since you openly asked so nicely," she sneered.
"Go right ahead. I dare you. You won't have the guts to do it." Wolfram snarled, eyes glowereing.

"Really? Huh. Um, I don't think some people in our present company are ever in their right mind." Jessi said, and automatically looked at Wolfram.
"fair point sweetie," she said
"Go right ahead. I dare you. You won't have the guts to do it." Wolfram snarled, eyes glowereing.
"Yeah sure, believe what you want Wolf. In your eyes, I dont have the guts, but I definitely have the experience and tools to do it," Misty scoffed.
"Test me again, Dragon-Girl." Wolfram huffed. "I'm really not in the mood for taunting."
"And yet you just taunted me, eh?" Misty rolled her eyes and cracked her neck shifting her weight and growing a few inches.

"Eh fair enough. The more psychotic folk we have the more fun," she grinned then looked at the van River glanced at. "We have company," she growled in wolf language.
"I kinda think I see that, Misty. It's Pure, five of 'em." River growled back in wolf language.
"Well, what are we doing about them?" Lachlan interrupted impatiently.

Tom sat behind the counter trying to read, but old memories kept popping up. Time spent with Silver, the first time he ran into the heroes, who had saved that little girl. When he had first met them he was in a bad place, living on the streets. Older memories came to him, of his time as a solder. Being held as a prisoner of war. All he'd wanted to do back then was serve his country, help people. It had turned out so wrong. But meeting Silver had turned his life around. He learned to trust people again. He learned that helping didn't always turn out bad. He turned a page in the old old book, even though he hadn't finished reading the previous one. It didn't matter, he'd read the book many times before.

The bell chimed alerting him to a customer. He looked up over the rim of his glasses. It wasn't a customer.

Tom discretely grabbed a small gadget from under the counter setting it off, Maryella had better be listening. He stood, "Lance? What are you doing here?" The inhuman he had known almost 30 years ago, the man he had been held captive with in the P.O.W. camp. Lance's snake like eyes locked on to Toms.

"I think you know why I'm here." He said his voice was raspy but sounded as though it was dripping with poison. "I want what you have."

"Test me again, Dragon-Girl." Wolfram huffed. "I'm really not in the mood for taunting."

"I never called you out specifically. Besides, nobody wants to fight you, besides maybe Bleddyn. No smart person would waste their time." She replied casually.

"I kinda think I see that, Misty. It's Pure, five of 'em." River growled back in wolf language.
"Well, what are we doing about them?" Lachlan interrupted impatiently.
"Just wanted to make sure you werent as blind as a newborn, Riv. Rip them apart?" She suggested to Lachlan

"I never called you out specifically. Besides, nobody wants to fight you, besides maybe Bleddyn. No smart person would waste their time." She replied casually.
"Are you saying Bleddyn's stupid?" Wolfram snarled. But approaching footsteps alerted him. He looked up, meeting the bright green eyes of Lily. "Wolfram?" She whispered, looking horrified.
