Misty looked at the others starting to make food. "I can go get some protein if any of yall are ok with eating rabbit or squirrel," she offered. "I could look for bigger things but I don't know what I'll find." She then looked back at her kids, who most likely needed a substantial meal rather than raw rabbit...

"Or me," Misty snarled while looking over her shoulder with narrowed eyes.
"You, Little Wolfie, are coming nowhere near that key. Understood?" Wolfram replied, a sudden, eerie air of calmness surrounding him, a almost taunting smirk at the corner of his lips.

The water in the camp stove quickly heated up.
Indigo handed Jessi some plastic forks to pass around.
Then, she took the pot off the burner, and put a little cup in the water. "Open wide your bags," she instructed.

Jessi passed the forks around, and opened her bag.

"No, Misty, we need you out here. If the Pure come you're one of the strongest people I know, and you have a good chance of being able to hold them off." Jenna explained.

Misty flicked her ear at the nickname, pushing back the memories that flooded through her when she heard the name."So the emaciated little kitten wants to pick a fight with the wicked wolf." She turned her head and locked eyes with Wolfram, bloodlust emitting in an aura around her. "Who says you deserve the key? If anything us adults who've fought battles like this should handle the key. Also, a little bit of advice, kitten, pick your battles wisely and you wont get your jugular pierced. Bleeding out isnt fun. I can tell you from experience."

She turned to Jenna and tilted her head. Her bloodlust dissipating. "You sure sweetheart? It wouldnt take that long." She smiled and blushed ever so slightly at the compliment. She only ever got compliments from Gage... Oh, where could my husband be... Hes probably worried sick, ugh my poor eagle... She pinned her ears flat against her skull and the hardness of her face melted away and was replaced with distress. Her tail limply hung as she began pacing back and forth, worrying about her husband.

"Let me inform you of something, Little Wolfie," Wolfram drawled, voice low. "I never said I deserved the Key. But want to know something, Little Wolfie? It was my mother who made this Key, and as her son I will do anything in my power to make sure that Key does not fall into the hands of you, or anyone I believe to be dangerous with such a powerful weapon."

"what ya gunna do if I just," she gasps dramatically, "snatch it away? Sure your mom made it but I doubt you know how to handle a dimension obliterating powerful weapon. I do. Dont just go thinking you're entitled to something because your family member made it. Its about the experience and knowing how to handle things, not your mom had it so you get to have it."

Jenna smiled at her, but it quickly turned to a sympathetic look. "He'll be okay. He can take care of himself, and we will destroy the poison before he can get hurt." She said.

"You really like to antagonize me, don't you Little Wolf?" Wolfram made a noise that someone could only describe as purring. "Why don't you stop thinking you're entitled to everything just because you know how to use it?"

River flung herself forward, ears laid flat against her head as she stood between the two, eyes sparkling with growing ferocity. "Both of you, shut it. Misty, you are not getting the key, and that's final. Wolfram, Brisa, Jenna, can we please go get this stinkin' key?" Her eyes flickered to where Indigo was making food, disgust sliding through them. "What the-- Seriously? Yeah, let's just make food in a bank parking lot-- Never mind, Let's go, guys."

Wolfram hissed at both of them, coiling back like a snake ready to strike its prey, "I've been saying that this whole time!"

"Are you really that dense? Thats how life works." she barked out a laugh, "yes I do, was it that hard to figure out?"

Misty snarled and snapped her jaws at River. "FINE" She barked and pointed an accusing finger at Wolfram but looked at River. "IVE HELD MORE POWERFUL WEAPONS IN MY HAND THAN THAT DAMNED KEY. JUST GET IT AND GET THIS OVER WITH SO I CAN RIP OUT HIS THROAT THE SOONER." She then shot up the nearest tree and sat there in wolf form.
