«We Could Be Legends»

"Okay, so what should we do? Indigo is part of an anti-Pure group, so we could get everyone she works with to help us fight. They should also have a lot of weapons at their base we could use." Jessi suggested.

Jessi nodded. "I'll go tell the others." She said, and flew back to where everyone else was. "Indigo, aunt River, Misty, Ash, everyone else, I think we're going to go to the anti-Pure place for reinforcements and weapons. We couldn't catch Mapleshade, so this should be a good plan." She said. She turned to Indigo. "You're going to need to lead us there."
"I'll do that," Indigo said. She pressed something on her phone and the car woke up.
Brisa turned and watched her “aunts” come forward, paling a bit at the hopeless looks one their faces. After a long moment she tore her gaze away, unable to handle seeing defeat in the very women who to her had always been unshakeable. She raised her eyes expectantly to Ash’s face, so focused what she was going to say that she didn’t hear Jessi coming and nearly jumped out of her skin at her friend’s arrival. “Has Toby or the chicken, Frosty, called you?” She asked Indigo worriedly. Will there even be any weapons or reinforcements when we get there?
"No. I don't think anything has happened, but I don't like that at all. I'll have to talk to them myself." Indigo twisted the headset again, trying to get a better signal.
"We're all going to–" Wolfram paused mid-hiss, head jerking wildly to the side, looking down. The same calico kitten had crept back with wide blue eyes. "Neko, the Nofurs are approaching. They have deathsticks and strange faces, you have to run."
His hackles raised, and he lifted his head, jaws parted. "Thank you, kitten. Run, go back to your Nofurs. And be careful!" He called softly after the fleeing kit. He glanced at Connor, and then jerked his gaze to where he scented the Pure members. "We have to run. You're right, we will die if we try and face them alone." Did he even understand him? Probably not, but he just prayed that he would understand the message as he leapt into the grass on the otherside.
'Nofurs?' Sherri asked, flicking her ears, still in human form. 'My cats call me Master,' much more suitable as well, considering she did have fur.
Sherri stood next to Indigo. "Where is Peter?" She asked.

Jessi looked worried as they mentioned not hearing from Toby or Frosty. They're okay, they'll be okay. They're just busy. They aren't dead. They can't be dead. She thought, and stared at Indigo impatiently. "Anything?" She asked, shifting her weight from foot to foot nervously.

"Nothing," Indigo said. Jessi's pupils were two black spheres. "He'll be fine, I'm sure," Indigo hoped with her powers her forced optimism was as contagious as Jessi's fear.

Jessi sighed, and hoped Indigo was right. I'm just overprotective. they're going to be fine. It's Toby, he can take care of himself. Sometimes. Even though Indigo's enchantment calmed her down some, she still worried. Pulling out her phone, she dialed Toby's number, only to have it go straight to voicemail.

"His phone isn't working?" Nervous energy rushed through Indigo's body. "He could have just, left it somewhere," her voice shook. I'm sure he's just is a little... disorganized, sure.
"We have to get to the Pure base. No matter what's there," Indigo's voice was square, steady, solid. Her heart, however, felt like a trapped bird, beating its wings in its little rib cage.
Gosh, I'm worse than Jessi. I can't let anything happen to Toby. Or the other Multitude members. But she thought of Toby the most.

Jessi shook her head. "That's not like him to leave his phone somewhere. He always answers it." She said. And the last time he didn't he was about to jump off a five story building. "Where is the Multitude base? I'm sure it probably wouldn't hurt if I stopped by there to make sure everyone is okay..."

"I'll get you there," said Indigo. The car was still running from five of my posts ago.

"Thanks, Indigo." Jessi said. Assuming she meant now, she gave one last look at the group, and climbed in the passenger seat of the car.
Considering the fact no one else was in any hurry, Indigo drove away, in the direction of the Pure base.

As they drove in silence, Jessi would occasionally glance at Indigo. She thought of ways to break said silence, but didn't want to make Indigo uncomfortable by her chattiness. "He likes you, you know." Jessi said finally. "A lot. Don't let his jerky behavior convince you otherwise."
