‘Silked’ White Easter Egger

Pics
Yep. A rather disappointing time. Apart from 2 duck nests and a hen that hatched out ducks (lotta ducks, apparently they were more appealing to hatch than their own flesh and blood chicks) I never had a hen hatch eggs until I got my phoenixes a few years ago. My Cochin finally brooded 2 clutches this year and she's like.... god, I don't even know, 8?

Apparently I'm not a safe enough environment influence for broodies 😂

I wonder if these Easter egger silkies are known to brood
Apparently bantam cochins are better than regular cochins in the broodiness department.

I think Murray McMurray. I had one I gave to another 4Her and she went brood that month. After I had her for 5 years
That's interesting. I got most of my silkies from Hoovers, but 3 of my silkies are from Showline, I got from a breeder in Ohio.

Which ones are better broodies, Hoover's or purebred?
My Show silkies look like they are the Bantam Cochin based ones, which aren't exactly purebred. All three are cockerels so I can't really compare.
