Lol, read the posts before that, it was a snowball fight and I hit the phone
Ahhh.
What happened tonight: we had to put down poor Dominique bantam Don cause he kept getting sick and we don't want to get everybody else sick. He looked so sick I don't feel sad about it though.
We separated two large fowl Buckeyes into a cage, and a trio of black d'Anvers in a cage. Crossing my fingers that the incubator will work! :fl:wee

Plus we put Vaseline on combs.

Nuh uh. Keep the names rolling :caf
(jk, you don't have to)

Livestock Gaurdian Dog. :) He's an LGD Maremma Sheepdog. They are bred to protect livestock. His name is Shiloh. :)

He's beyootiful!!! :love
:)

He's doing wonderful! I haven't been letting him free-roam, but he pretty much knows his boundaries now. I have an invisible fence system and it works pretty well. And he's been doing great with the flock as well. I'm going to wait until I'm 100% sure that I can trust him just to be on the safe side. I don't want to risk losing any birds. Ducks are probably the hardest to train an LGD with, compared to goats etc (since small animals are more likely to get injured if the LGD decides to be wild).
This is an interesting read. :)https://www.backyardherds.com/threa...ast-keeps-heritage-hens-safe-with-lgds.36692/

Hi, I’m live in Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District and a mile from the coast. It’s snowing here (my Silkies are warm in their run...finally caught them) and one of my dogs has a sore paw so I’m indoors making soap for the first time. Wish me luck!
Soap making sounds like fun. One of my sisters does that :)
