Guys, my two other chicks didn't hatch :'( I opened them. They're both dead. One of them cracked, but I don't think it was a pip. The other chick may have bumped it, I don't know.
I don't even think it was alive yesterday when I handled it to put the hatched chick in the brooder. It's got all the blood absorbed, so I can't help thinkin that if I had been sooner... it would have lived. I think it was a rooster if that helps matters any. Which it doesn't.

The other egg is still bloody. The aircell is plenty big. What did I do wrong? It's morning of day twenty four...

when did the majority of them hatch? what day?

sometimes they just don't hatch. I would have been down 2 if I hadn't helped, plus a sick one. I'm not sure what happened with the sick one. But I haven't helped any that didn't pip on it's own.
