➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

It's not hard folks, do your research before getting live birds / incubating eggs and don't be lazy.

More than kind of rude, especially given that demeanor doesnt come across in posts, but no one here needs that sort of comment. Were all here to learn, the new ones and the old ones. Most of us learn something new everyday, even years into poultry.

You're right, I just hate it that animals have to suffer because of human mistakes.

Is that your own channel?

Where are you located?

I ask where you are located because if you are in the US you better do your research about knats before they kill your birds.

My eggs go into lockdown when I get home today. I'm afraid for this batch. I didn't realize until a few days ago that the temperature in my incubator was dropping significantly during the night. I've been monitoring it much more closely, but it might be too late. I know I have 3 clear eggs, at least one that was probably an early quitter, and a whole bunch of "I don't know". A couple of them have really solid, dark shells.

Edit: My Falb Fee eggs should arrive tomorrow. I've learned a lot from this batch, even though they haven't hatched yet, so I should do better with them.

What do you mean where? Gnats are everywhere in the continental USA. I know all about them. I produce my own inoculums to keep them and most species of flies from breeding in soils, mulch and compost.

There are members on this board from all over the world. We can't assume USA.

It will just take longer to hatch. Maybe a day or two.
