Thank you very very much! i feel validated and i really appreciate that! here come the water works again  its annoying. I graduated Prison bootcamp, am a mother of 3 toddlers, cared for my grandmother after a stroke wheel chair bound her with dementia. Ill get past it like everything else just still hurts for now.

Doesnt help that everytime they give a new forecast the storm is expected to be stronger and/or closer. Im just west of baton rouge if yall are watching this mess so send your prayers, good vibes any and all! Wildest thing the way it developed on land went into the gulf and is circling back around :th

:hugs everything you’re feeling (or not feeling or however you personally process it) is completely and totally valid. :hugs and just because you have been through supposedly worse things or other people have doesn’t invalidate the current situation. :hugs

I am sure you will be okay.

:lau You will die of a heat stroke if you come here.

I know I would :lau

No way. How bad was it?

I must know ha

You are going to be fine...I promise. Just make sure you have enough toilet paper.
I about lost it last hurricane because we were getting low on TP.

OMG!! :th

I am one of the only people on here who can rival your temps :lau mostly because humidity is so high so that we cant sweat to cool off

How bad was the time i did? Look up the prison bootcamp "Impact" program in st.gabriel

:lau I am not used to that so I probably really would get heat stroke lol I’ve almost gotten it a few times here and it’s not even hot :lau

One time I almost got it really bad or maybe did have it and was really out of it and don’t really remember anything and probably should have gone to the hospital but I was fine after my mom brought me to the basement to cool down and I sat/laid down there and drank a bunch of drinks for a while ha but I was waiting for a ride after school or after a test or something and it was really hot and I had jeans on and possibly a sweatshirt too but idk. Anyway, I also had my really heavy backpack on. And I remember I just kept pacing back and forth down the halls and also went outside a few times to check and back in, etc. and I think a few people asked if I was okay or needed a ride or whatever cause it must have been a while or I must have looked sick aha I think it wasn’t even that long but felt like forever and I kept calling the house over and over and over again and also getting all worked up/bad anxiety/almost panic attacks and I think that’s when my mom knew I was pretty bad ha but of course I didn’t think I was, just annoyed I had to wait. But looking back it probably was a sign lol and I don’t think I had any water either. Maybe a few sips from the fountain. Idk. But I wasn’t even waiting long at all but to me it was forever. And my face was all red and had the little white dots you get too. I was really bad. I remember that I don’t even remember going to the basement. Haha

Looking now.

Are you on one of the Netflix prision shows?

Yea man u gotta be careful w the heat. That sounds like a really bad day, thank God ur mom was there to take care of you! I had each a sun stroke and a heat stroke. Not fun. Went to ER w the sun stroke as well as both girls who went tubing down the river with me. We were all crisps forgot the sunblock drinkn and floating for 8 hrs, everyone had to have pain meds for the burns and IV drips. The heat stroke happened in bootcamp, they took my bp like 50somthing over 70something, called me a zombie made me take bedrest i had to stay in the program and in prison an extra Month because of it :rantsaid they couldnt believe i was on my feet. I Knew id wet myself if i drank an adequate amount of water so i just didnt  who knew that would be disastrous  my blood was like jello, the dr was impressed :hmm two people died in the program so they made a health test part of the enrollment  the nurse practioner told me not to go and that she would write up a medical release for me before i even started so icould walk away at any point without a good time penalty. I still stuck it out and went home a yr earlier than i would have otherwise. The judge was pulled from the bench for his severe over sentencing me and 46 other people.

I wouldn't set two week old eggs.

One week max for me.

Your chances of having good viability of the eggs diminishes after 10 days. You could still have decent viability with 2 week old eggs but that would depend on how they were stored.
I personally, don't set eggs older than 10 days.

you will probably be fine collecting over 2 weeks as long as you have an area to store that doesn’t get over 70*. I’ve been splitting up my larger orders and some of my shipped eggs have been “settling” for over a week. I wish you lived a bit closer or were traveling through here as I’ve been collecting 2 dozen +/- per day that have resulted in some pretty babies!!

They said it already. Fertility drops off after a week or so, but if you store the eggs less than 70 degrees they don't start incubation while stored and you can incubate older eggs once you have the amount you want. I had a pair of quail I wanted chicks from, so I saved for almost 3 weeks because the darn hen didn't always lay daily. I marked the dates on the eggs and tried to turn while collecting at least once a day. The egg that was 15 days old hatched as well as a handful of newer ones, but overall they didn't have great viability with the older eggs.
