➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

:love
I had said that my first hatcher this time and another chick were not much bigger than buttons, but I didn’t think to weigh them at hatch!:smackat 3-5 days old they weigh 6-7g

Sounds like they were actually the same size! Color morphs right not jumbos?

i was all set to ditch last of the eggs today and 1 was pipped and moving!! i started assist but stopped when I saw blood....keeping a close eye on it to hopefully get it out before bedtime and see if it survives! I lost my curly toe runt today. other eggs not showing any signs so will probably check 1 more time tomorrow morning, trash, and lockdown next batch!

And u know @muddy75 i remember u saying that and didnt think to tell u to weigh them either
yes 1 looks red range and the other wild type so far but not jumbos. It looks like 2-3 grau, 2 tibetan tux, 2 pearl, 1 roux dilute (all normal size) and the 2 littles.
when I won this mystery box, zack mentioned that it would contain a new color not yet released (his “research” eggs) and this first hatcher I’m labeling red range is a chick color Im really unfamiliar with so hoping it survives so I can see how it feathers out!

Texas does require an import permit.
In Texas this is all handled online. You just shoot an email to the NPIP dude and he forwards(electronically) the paper to the other person's state NPIP dude.
It's not like you attach paperwork to a box or anything....in Texas that is.
