Yes! I made sure it was fresh because I've read how you feel about poop. LOL. I sprinkle food around in little piles until the get about a week old too. So it gets messy pretty quickly.

@KikisGirls these quail just keep hatching!!! I'm up to 42!!!

How many did you set? I am at exactly 50% right now with mine. I think I was gonna do better but came home today and humidity had dropped to 40. I know two shrink wrapped for sure haven’t had a chance to check the others yet.

I started with 88 shipped eggs, 56 made it to lock down. There were a few I wasn't sure about though. I *think* they are done hatching now.
