I started with 88 shipped eggs, 56 made it to lock down. There were a few I wasn't sure about though. I *think* they are done hatching now.

Thought I was done also but just candled the last of em and saw movement in one and not ready to give up on another!

Yes! I made sure it was fresh because I've read how you feel about poop. LOL. I sprinkle food around in little piles until the get about a week old too. So it gets messy pretty quickly.

Oh no...don't you worry about my obssesion with poop. I know I am not normal. I wouldn't care if there was poop in your pictures.

I have 23 set to hatch on the 23rd and another 180 for the 30th.

Are you nuts? 180!?? I can't imagine.
What are you doing with them? Keeping them all? How much cage room does one need for that many?

I need to see a pic of a brooder/cage that holds this many. I'm wondering if it will be better for me to make multiple small cages or fewer larger ones.
I want to be a quail hoarder!

I try to wait till three days at least before I sell locally. I do ship on hatch day but not till spring.
