Update on the quail eggs, 7 chicks have hatched all ready 2 of witch have red eyes and are doing good 4 still on the whey.

Lockdown tomorrow, 27th. Are you going to candle them? I will only candle the questionable ones and those with cracked shells. And yes, mine will hatch on Sept 30th, will start at 9pm

No I don’t have a very bright light so I’m just going to let happen what happens what humidity should I shoot for for lockdown about 55-60??

i would shoot more in the range of 45-55 @Texas Kiki will probably suggest even lower......
while you stop turning at initial lockdown, I would not raise the humidity until day 16 or first external pip

It started as a dry hatch been dry the whole time so far and it’s hovered around 45 the whole time

55-60% is fine, I wouldn't go any higher than 60%. I've actually have had quail, pheasants hatch at 28% humidity but it was a mistake on my part, certainly not by design...and I wouldn't recommend hatching at that low of a humidity.

I put a sticky tape and I am hoping they will hatch...

My incubator cannot keep steady 55-60% and when I pour water it goes to 70-75% and then slowly drops down. And they are still hatching.
