My bator heating element thing turns on and off...a lot.
That is about all I know.

Well....sometimes I have to keep an eye on it and adjust the little knob. I think having my air conditioning running a lot today did something to my bator which made it turn on/run a little more.Do you set your temperature and not mess with it Mrs. 103? Or do you constantly fidget and adjust the L?
No...I can not set it and forget about it. Some days I don't adjust the knob...some days I do.
Isn't that what everyone does?
That's probably because you don't have my candling skillz! No. Temp is good. No touchy.
The reason I ask, the temp in this one has been edging up. 100.5°F on the mercury. So I bumped it down 1/8 of a turn from start.
When testing, once the bator was adjusted to 100°F on the mercury, it stayed there for a month. Didn't need to change it.
You mean to tell me that there is a bator I really could set it and forget about it! No way.
You're confusing me!Yes. this is what I think the digital ones do. A couple other people mention adjusting the wafer or disc type in lockdown. The eggs make their own heat at that point. But the disc should control it.
I'm so confused.
True. And I will most likely never attain your skill either. Truly a master candler. I sit in awe. That's probably because you don't have my candling skillz!
I wonder if I didn't ever open mine if it would stay put.
That's not likely to ever happen though.
