It's pink and it might have actually came from the dollar store.

This one is getting some really dark feathers underneath.

I found it stashed in the garage a while back.

I've only used it twice and it worked well both times.

You guys think its ok to feed adult and baby quail medicated turkey/pheasant feed. I did not know it was medicated when i bought it. And wanted a higher protein content to feed my quailings.

Get gamebird starter, it's very small, easy for the Bobs & quail, plus has the nutritional requirements. You can crush up mealworms for higher protein, they're crazy about them.

that could’ve be due to the “cold spots” that i was referring to with the j12......are the ones hatching now and pipped all in same area or spread out??

The late Bobs were all breech, all zipped the wrong end and had feet or leg problems, resolved thankfully. It's a circulated air Incubator, the pipped eggs are scattered throughout.

What's the difference between scarlet and red range?

I think red range is kinda a catch all chick terminology for any red....could feather out to be scarlet, roux dilute, roux pharaoh etc. ie in my reference pic that one ended up more brownish than red
