You will get better genetic diversity by putting him in with hens that are not directly related to him.

They're so gorgeous! It's the first color that's caught my eye. There's a couple others I really like, but I think pearl will work for my first incubation of quail eggs.

I promised pictures when I got home. This is Goliath, my pearl fee. She's bigger than the jumbos I hatched at the same time. Looking at her chest, I'm really thinking/hoping that I see a hen.

Sometimes moves are too stressful. Give them a few more weeks to get used to their new house.

How much calcium is in your feed?

It’s the Purina Layena Complete Ration and it says Min Calcium is 2.5% and Max is 3.5%

I'm not sure what this one is. She looks kind of like a pearl fee, but with brown speckles instead of black. She came out of the purple egg that I had. Her breast is also developing nice spots, so I'm guessing hen.

I just didn't want to respond because I'm jealous. My falb fee are 10 or 11 (?) weeks old now and I only have 1 out of 6 hens laying, and not every day at that.
