I still have only one hen laying, but this morning when I ate 8 of the eggs, I saw little white spots with possible rings around them. I'm going to gather the next five and set them in the new incubator.

Here is the first one that I hatched. She is a grey cinnamon blue face. Basically they are a cinnamon with the color fading as it gets closer to the body. Apparently it's not a common color, and one of the ladies in my group familiar with them had never seen them in blue face before.Good luck.
Do you have any pictures of parents?
I don't know what this color looks like.
How do you remove the poo balls for a button quail? I did it for my coturnix but the buttons are so flighty I'm afraid of hurting them. I usually make the coturnix stand in warm water and then gently scrape the ball off in chunks once it's softened up a bit. Here is the first one that I hatched. She is a grey cinnamon blue face. Excuse the poo ball. Part of my monthly maintenance is checking for and removing them. Of course I took the pictures before I removed it![]()
What can you do with such small eggs???Button eggs are roughly half the size of coturnix. Here's a bunch with a quarter for size.
