So about 1.5 birds per sq/ft I seen in a video of myshire farms where he said like 3 birds per sq/ft is this not the correct amount is that to many?
The thing to remember is that Myshire Farms is running a commercial operation and cramming as many as possible into as small a space as possible. Even the often posted one bird per one sq. ft. should be considered a minimum amount. I don't recall anyone that posts an optimum amount of space required for any of the species of poultry.

He's a little on the nutty side with those numbers.
I couldn't squeeze them in like that.
I'd feel too bad/sorry for them

For adult birds I prefer to give 2-3 square feet/bird. That way they have room to get away and hide if someone gets irritable. I would give less for grow outs because they're not going to be around long enough to get too uncomfortable.

I think that Myshire Farms is all about commercial growing, so I think of his number of birds/square foot to be more like commercial chicken farmers who also tend to keep their birds in small areas.

As a hobbyist, I can be pickier about giving my birds more space and treating them a bit more like pets.

I've got 1 of the pens finished for 1 group of 9, just gotta put the wire and door on the one on the right and it'll be ready too!!! Please don't pay too close attention to the lack of levelness of that pen on the right:oops:.
:gig I very much doubt the quail will even notice whether they’re living on a slope. Great setup!
