If I wait until tonight I should have one more from my covey to set as well. That will be setting 69 eggs.That's more than twice the size of my biggest batch yet.

I tried all of the recommendations on resting, not turning, etc. None of them give me any better results than my current method of setting them as soon as they are warmed up and turning the auto turner on as soon as the eggs are in place. Of course, I do have the incubator up and running for at least a half day if not running from the previous day. There have been studies done that prove that turning the eggs is far more critical at the start of incubating than later in the process.That’s what I’ve read but also anywhere from like 12-24 hours or even seen 48 sometimes and also seen some set soon after but no turning for a few days. Seen lots of different stuff haha
My incubator has been up and running since Monday morning. Temp and humidity staying nice and stable.I tried all of the recommendations on resting, not turning, etc. None of them give me any better results than my current method of setting them as soon as they are warmed up and turning the auto turner on as soon as the eggs are in place. One of the benefits of not waiting is that eggs that have been stored too warm by the USPS and have already begun incubation have a better chance of hatching than if they are allowed to "rest" for days before incubating.
If your eggs come individually wrapped in bubble wrap, be careful that you do not spin the egg while unwrapping it.

NOOOOOO!Thanks!! That makes a lot of sense. I never thought of that. Although it’s very cold lately so I don’t think it would be stored too warm but who knows.
So you don’t think I should try resting them?
I’m so nervous with it being my first hatch it feels so weird going “against” the usual advice/info so to speak. But then again I did that with my chicks too. Went with MHP both batches instead of heat lamp and I was a little nervous about that too (although not really cause it made so much more sense to me right from the beginning) and that turned out really well!! But yet everyone says you will kill the chicks if you don’t do 95 under a heat lamp and gradually lower 5 degrees each week for 8 weeks. I also put them outside at literally a week old and integrated pretty young too. So I guess I’m used to doing things different haha
Also you and @Texas Kiki seem to have amazing hatches and Kiki does everything “wrong” according to traditional information available but it seems to work great!! Maybe I need to hatch @Texas Kiki method LOL
I need to test mine! I had it running for a few days last week but turned it off.
@Cedar Creek Farm Lady
