Don't forget to turn the engine switch to ON. It is the switch in the lower right hand corner of your picture just below the pull cord.I don't know what to do with the choke button.

I thought I might have that wrong. I know that it makes the engine rev faster. The choke button reduces the amount of air to the carburetor to make it easier to start in the cold or when it hasn't been run for a long time. You do get a higher fuel to air ratio.
Is the gas tank full?Someone is not happy I woke him up and someone is even madder that it's not starting.

Not full but has some. He said that was the first thing I was supposed to check. Is the gas tank full?
We just used it not long ago to run the bator the last time the power went out.It looks like it’s been used at some point... ie: not brand new. So it probably has oil in it, hopefully no gas though, ‘cause if the gas sits there too long, that’s not good. Hopefully he put a bottle of Sta-bil or similar in it or maybe it’s not been there too, too long.
I believe it was longer than the 3 months that gas is good for. Without the added stabilizer, it plugs things up pretty good.I don't think it was too ago that we used it.
