I tried those last two but to no avail!
I have a little spice/nut grinder, it just doesn't hold much. But that being said it is so much better than my mortar and pestle.....

I'm weird. I started sifting the food I was giving my adult birds the moment I set my eggs in the incubator. I have about a week/week and a half's worth of chick food for my 49 eggs.

I put mine in a gallon size ziplock bag and take a hammer thing to it.
I only beat the food up for the first week...or so.

I'm glad I don't have to do it but for a few more days. I go to all that trouble and within 15 seconds 1/2 of it has been scratched all over the place & into the waterers.... no appreciation!

Gah! I hate this. I think I see a couple of pips, but I can't be sure unless I open the incubator. I live in a pretty dry area, so the humidity would probably shrink wrap the birds if I do, so I can just peer at the egg and wonder, "Is that a pip? Yes? No? Maybe?"

Have any of y'all ever used a spray mist bottle on your eggs in the bator to help prevent shrink-wrapping when it's open to remove chicks?

I have two pips and I opened the incubator more than once, my chicks are still good...

Be a ninja when you open the lid. Fast in and fast out.
