➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Seramas are almost 21 days, right? My buttons usually go 17-18 days, couldn't you start the seramas, candle after a few days, add buttons and hand turn, then candle seramas after 7ish days of incubation and remove clears?

I tried shipped serama eggs once and none developed. Worst waste of almost $50 I've spent so far.

The lady I got the eggs from told me how fragile the serama eggs are. She told me not to touch them until 10 days. Since I've never hatched them before and they cost so much, I decided to follow her instructions instead of doing my own thing like I usually do :D After I candle and remove the clears, I may slip some buttons in for Christmas. I have a slate male with two ivory hens that I'm dying to set eggs from. If I'm going to get a smoky, they're my best bet. I REALLY want a smoky. There's just a tiny difference between silver and cinnamon silver, but it's so hard to get all those genes lined up.

I am already looking for some with bangs.

I can't remember if you are NPIP, But if you are, when they come to inspect, don't have quail and finches in the same cage. I have already been warned by my agent that she will fail my inspection if she sees quail and any other bird living in the same aviary (I have cockatiels and parakeets also).

Little birds, little space. Come on Nabiki.
Well... I do have a couple of rat cages sitting around that would work...
