Yep, there are quite a few species of True pheasants that don't have rings around their necks, or if they do it will be thin or "spotty". Ring necked pheasants are in the True pheasant group. The Zurandy's are in the "white winged" grouping. Together with the Kirghiz (2 species) and black-necked (4 species) they are considered to be "red rumps". There are 6 species in this grouping.
There are 17 subspecies in the Gray rumped group, of which the Chinese ring necked belongs. The Olive rumped group consists of one species, the Tarium pheasant, P.c. tarimensis.

so the NYD hatch a long is underway....set date for coturnix is December 14......unless mine stop laying on me, i will probably set a VERY SMALL batch.....who else is in???

we are eating as many as we can!! I have probably put at least 200 of my own eggs through the incubator this year counting chicken and quail. I’ve given away around 25 dozen or so and I sold a lot of the chicken eggs when I had all my layers here. I have also fed several to the birds both intentionally and unintentionally.

The only difference between giving things away and selling them is that people give you money when you hand over the goods.

Exactly!! Doesn’t have to be a big deal or “salesy” at all. Also you could always just put a stand outside and a box for the money
