➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Time to turn off the phone. Guy sounds like a pranker.

Actually I was thinking “I would unplug all my phones from the wall” and then I realize, “Oh! She probably doesn’t have any phones like that!”:lau
I got rid of my land line years ago. I was going to block him, but I was half asleep and didn't want to wake completely up to do it. If he ever calls again I'll block him. It's kind of funny now that I'm not sleep deprived.

i am still trying to find the best way and interval to keep the bedding fresh....it’s been a bit more difficult since the last cleaning because the young finches have escaped the cage twice. she seems to have improved a bit this morning. we will hopefully be setting up the new cage today and i can get my cleaning done. DH suggested i figure out something better for the food as the debris ball seemed to be most of the powdery food caked on their feet.
Maybe you could try giving them soaked or fermented feed? Chickens don’t throw it around all over the place like they do crumbles or seeds. It’s different, so it may be scary to them, but maybe over time the chicks who grow up on it could teach the older ones to eat it?

Merry Christmas in Eastern Europe! What’s your latitude @Maiahr ? I’m at about 44.4. I was just wondering because you said your daylight is 10 hours. Ours today is a little less than 9 hours, so you must be to the south of us, but I had envisioned Bulgaria as further south than you apparently are, by your daylight hours.

If we got rid of the landline we would be pretty hard to reach. :gigThe cell phones have to sit right ON the booster or they never pick up anything. At least on the booster, they MIGHT get calls and usually will get texts.

OTOH the landline often goes out—just because—and it can take weeks to get a repair made. By then it’s usually started working again on its own (just because again), anyway. On a good day they back one another up.:)

:oldGood to know, I'm sure I'll hafta deal with something like this eventually, and at least I'll have a clue maybe.:fl

Lol:lau
:ducNo harm no fowl! :gig

Glad you’re being so cool about it. Tend to have a bad habit of taking things too seriously/misinterpreting sometimes :lau:oops:

My cage with 2 Pansy laying females where I found three eggs a couple of times...

I couldn’t imagine not having service  :th

But I guess as long as I had good internet it’d be fine. :lau

I did a @Kiki today. My new pen arrived yesterday late afternoon, so I assembled it, got it arranged, and put most of my 4th hatch in there. I moved the five birds that didn't integrate into the other pen figuring that it's new, neutral, territory, and they're seriously outnumbered by the youngsters.

Four are getting along just fine with the younger birds, but one was pecking every bird it could reach. She's cooling off in the 'fridge now.
